  • Wednesday, December 16th 8:00am to 4:30pm

    Morning and afternoon shifts available

    Location: Bob Boast Volkswagen

     We need help before the Toy Day event and during the event.

     

    TOY BOX WRAPPING - Team of 8 (Sept 1 - 30)

     - Wrap large boxes with wrapping paper to be used as donation boxes.

    PRE EVENT – Team    (Oct - Dec 1)

    - Pass out flyers to businesses 

    - Deliver toy boxes

    - Attend Donor Party or Special Events as spokesperson for MHM

    - Monitor/Respond to emails and incoming requests from toy donors

     

     TOY PICK UP TEAM  (Dec 7-14th)

    - Coordinate Pick Ups from donors

    - Help Drive MHM vehicles to pick up toy boxes in Sarasota and Manatee County

    - Help move toys to event location at Bob Boast Volkswagen in Bradenton

     

    EVENT PREP TEAM (Friday Dec 11th - 11:30-1:00pm)

    - Help organize, gather and load toy day supplies week before event at office (tables, decor, signage, etc)

    - Load toys from PODS in trucks

     

    FINAL TOY RECEIVING TEAM (Mon Dec. 14th - 8:30-12)

     - Receive final delivery of toys from donors & load in trucks

     

    SET UP TEAM (Tuesday Dec. 15th - 8:00-12:00) at Bob Boast Dodge

    - Set up venue with tables

    - Decorate venue

    - Sort and organize toys into age groups

     

    EVENT DAY TEAM (Dec 16th) at Bob Boast Dodge

    - Be an ELF and help clients select toys for their children

    - Restock & organize toys

    - Check in assistance

    - Parking attendants

     

    POST EVENT TEAM - Tear down (Weds Dec 16th 4:00-6:00pm) at Bob Boast Dodge

    - Breakdown tables & decor and load in trucks

    - Left over toys - bag/box up and load in trucks

     

    POST EVENT - UNPACK TRUCKS (Fri Dec 18th 9:30-11:00) at MHM

  • EVENT HOURS:

    There will be 2 shifts - morning and afternoon with a transition in shifts occurring between 12:00 to 12:30 to allow time for afternoon volunteers to be trained.

    Training for morning shift will begin promptly at 8:00am.

    Training for afternoon shift will begin promptly at 12pm

     

    Pastries, fruit and coffee will be available for morning shift to volunteers

    Lunch will be provided to afternoon volunteers (after 1)
