Purple Star Designation (SY 2026-2027) Schools Without Military-Connected Students
The New Mexico Public Education Department recognizes schools that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to serving service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation's military. During the 2026–2027 school year (SY27), the Department will recognize the initial cohort of schools earning this designation. Schools that receive the designation will maintain their certification for three school years: SY27, SY28, and SY29.
