Schools and youth-serving organizations are invited to bring students in grades PK-12 to First Americans Museum. Docent-led and self-guided tour options for grades 3-12 are available for exhibitions in the South Wing Galleries. Hands-on experiences for grades PK-4 are available in the FAMily Discovery Center.
Requests for field trips must be made no fewer than 4 weeks in advance. Lunchrooms are available during the school year—field trip groups are permitted to bring their own lunches or order lunch delivery to the museum. FAM does not provide microwaves or refrigerators.
Admission for pre-scheduled groups of 15 or more students is $6 per student. FAM requires one adult chaperone per 10 students for tours of the South Wing Galleries and one adult chaperone per 5 students visiting the FAMily Discovery Center. Adult chaperones within this ratio and bus drivers receive free admission. Additional adults are $12 each.
If your school is a high-need public school located in Oklahoma (>40% low-income students), FAM is able to waive admission fees for one core experience. This waiver does not apply to additional core experiences or tour add-ons. Review this document to confirm that your school qualifies: 2026 Low Income Report.
