2026年8月7日（金）より、Vague KobeにてArtek 2nd Cycleの展覧会「90 Summers」を開催します。時を越えて受け継がれてきたフィンランドデザインを届けるArtekのプラットフォーム、Artek 2nd Cycleとともにキュレーションした家具、道具、ガラスウェアを展示・販売します。
1935年に創業したArtekと、1938年に竣工しVague Kobeが入居するチャータードビル。約90の夏を経て、二つの歴史がVague Kobeで交わります。
本展の開催を記念し、Artek 2nd Cycleよりアンティ・テヴァヤルヴィ（Antti Tevajärvi）を迎えたトークイベントを開催します。Artekの作品とデザイン哲学を支えてきた自然や有機素材への眼差しをはじめ、アイノ・アアルトの仕事、そしてアアルト夫妻と日本との繋がりについて、当時から現在へと続く視点で紐解いていきます。聞き手は、Vague代表の柳原照弘が務めます。
一つひとつのピースに刻まれた歴史と、それを支えるArtekの精神に触れる機会です。

Vague Kobe is coming together with Artek 2nd Cycle, the platform for pre-loved Finnish design pieces by Artek, to present ‘90 Summers’, opening Friday, 7 August 2026. On view is a carefully curated selection of furniture, objects, and glassware, which will also be available for purchase.
Artek was founded in 1935, and the Chartered Building—home to Vague Kobe—was completed in 1938. Almost 90 summers later, these two histories meet.
To mark the opening, a talk event will be hosted featuring Antti Tevajärvi from Artek 2nd Cycle. The conversation will unfold across several threads—from Artek's enduring attention to nature and organic materials, to the work of Aino Aalto, and the historical ties between the Aaltos and Japan — tracing a continuous line from the brand's earliest days to the present. The talk will be moderated by Teruhiro Yanagihara, founder of Vague.
A chance to encounter the history held within each piece, and the enduring spirit of Artek that connects them all. Following the talk, a small opening reception will be held from 6pm. After hours at Vague Kobe, please join us for an evening among the furniture and exhibition pieces. All are warmly welcome to join.
