Our sessions run from 9:00am to 2:00pm, allowing children to enjoy a full day of connection, curiosity and nature-based learning. To support the smooth operation of the program and the safety of all participants, families are asked to adhere to the following arrival and collection procedures.

Children are to arrive promptly for a 9:00am start.

Parents/guardians are required to collect their child promptly at 2:00pm.

If you anticipate being late for drop-off or collection, please notify Cultivating Curiosity as soon as possible.

Children will only be released to a parent/guardian or an authorised person listed on the enrolment form unless prior arrangements have been made.

Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child until they have been signed in at drop-off and immediately upon collection.

As our program operates in outdoor environments, punctual arrival and collection are essential to ensure the safety of all children and the smooth running of the day.

I understand that punctual arrival and collection are essential for the safety of all participants and the effective operation of the program.

I agree to notify Cultivating Curiosity as soon as possible if I am delayed for drop-off or collection.

I understand that my child will only be released to myself or an authorised person nominated on this enrolment form unless alternative arrangements have been made.

I understand that repeated late collection may impact staffing and program operations and may result in a review of my family's enrolment if the issue continues.

  • Behaviour & Support

  • Behaviour & Participation

  • At Cultivating Curiosity, we believe children thrive in an environment where they feel safe, respected and connected. Our approach to behaviour is relationship-based, with a focus on co-regulation, guidance and understanding rather than punishment. We recognise that all children experience big emotions from time to time and that learning to navigate these moments is a natural part of childhood.

Our mentors are experienced in supporting children through everyday challenges such as disappointment, frustration, conflict, emotional regulation and social learning. We will always approach children with patience, empathy and respect.

As our program operates in outdoor environments including parks, bushland, creeks and beaches, the safety of every child is our highest priority. For this reason, children attending Cultivating Curiosity must be able to participate safely within a small-group setting and respond to mentor instructions, particularly where safety is concerned.

  • To ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community, children are expected to:
  • - Follow mentor directions, especially in situations involving safety.
    - Stay with the group unless given permission otherwise.
    - Treat themselves, others and the environment with kindness and respect.
    - Participate in a way that supports a safe and positive experience for everyone.

  • While we welcome children with a range of personalities, learning styles and support needs, Cultivating Curiosity is not staffed or resourced to provide one-to-one supervision or ongoing intensive behavioural support.

If a child requires continuous individual supervision, is unable to consistently respond to safety directions, frequently leaves the group, displays behaviours that place themselves, other children or mentors at risk, or requires a level of support beyond what can reasonably be provided within our mentor-to-child ratios, we may not be the appropriate setting to safely meet their needs.

Where concerns arise, we will always communicate openly with families and, where appropriate, work together to trial reasonable strategies and supports. However, if we are unable to safely support a child's participation within our staffing model, Cultivating Curiosity reserves the right to suspend or end the child's enrolment in the interests of the safety and wellbeing of all children, families and mentors.

We appreciate that every child is unique and are committed to honest, respectful partnerships with families to ensure each child is supported in the environment that best meets their needs.

    Fees, Bookings & Cancellations

    Trial Session

We offer each family one introductory trial session for $80. This provides an opportunity for your child to experience our program and for your family to determine whether Cultivating Curiosity is the right fit.

Following the trial session, families who wish to continue will be invited to enrol, subject to availability. Families may choose from the following enrolment options:

    • Half-Term Enrolment: $120 per session (5-session commitment)
    • Full-Term Enrolment: $105 per session (10-session commitment)

Where a family joins partway through a term, fees will be adjusted to reflect the remaining sessions.

    Term Commitment

Cultivating Curiosity operates on a term commitment model. This allows us to provide consistency for children, maintain small group sizes and plan meaningful learning experiences throughout the term.

By accepting a place, families commit to the full or half school term (or the remaining weeks of the current term if enrolling mid-term).

    Fees & Payment

An invoice will be issued following acceptance of your enrolment.

Payment must be received by the invoice due date to secure your child's place.

Children are unable to attend sessions unless payment has been received, unless a prior written payment arrangement has been agreed to by Cultivating Curiosity.

    Cancellations & Withdrawals

If you wish to withdraw your child from the program, a minimum of two (2) weeks' written notice is required.

Refunds are not provided for change of mind or where a family chooses to withdraw during a term.

    Missed Sessions & Illness

If your child is unable to attend due to illness, please notify us as soon as possible.

Where possible, Cultivating Curiosity will offer a make-up session within the same term. As our program operates with limited places, make-up sessions cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability.

Where a make-up session cannot be offered, any refund or credit will be considered at the sole discretion of Cultivating Curiosity.

    Cancellation by Cultivating Curiosity

If Cultivating Curiosity cancels a session and an alternative session cannot be offered, families will receive either a make-up session, credit or refund, at the discretion of Cultivating Curiosity.
