Important Information & Parent Agreement
Please read the following information carefully before submitting your child’s enrolment.
Arrival & Collection
Cultivating Curiosity runs from 9:00am–2:00pm. Children must be signed in on arrival and signed out by a parent/guardian or authorised collection person.
Children must be collected by 2:00pm. If you are unexpectedly delayed, please contact us as soon as possible. We understand occasional delays happen; however, repeated late collection may result in a review, suspension or discontinuation of your child’s enrolment.
Please notify us of any changes to authorised collection arrangements.
Medical Conditions & Emergency Care
Parents/guardians are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding their child’s allergies, medical conditions, dietary requirements and any other health information that may affect their participation.
Any required emergency medication must be provided in accordance with Cultivating Curiosity’s medication requirements, together with any relevant medical or Action Plan.
In the event of illness, injury or emergency, Cultivating Curiosity will make reasonable attempts to contact the child’s parent/guardian or emergency contact.
I authorise Cultivating Curiosity educators to administer appropriate first aid and, where reasonably considered necessary, contact emergency services and arrange emergency medical treatment for my child.
Any ambulance or medical expenses incurred remain the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Parents/guardians must notify Cultivating Curiosity if their child’s medical information changes.
Behaviour & Participation
Cultivating Curiosity is a small-group, drop-off homeschool enrichment program. We aim to provide a safe, respectful and supportive environment for every child.
Parents/guardians must disclose any behavioural, emotional, sensory, developmental or additional support needs that may reasonably affect their child’s safety, participation or the safety of others.
We understand that all children can experience big emotions and challenging moments. Educators will respond with compassion, age-appropriate support, redirection and reasonable strategies wherever possible.
However, behaviours that create an ongoing or significant risk to the safety or wellbeing of the child, other children, educators or members of the public cannot be accommodated within the program.
This may include, but is not limited to:
repeatedly leaving or attempting to leave the supervised group or designated area;
physical aggression or behaviour likely to cause injury;
unsafe behaviour around roads, waterways, heights, tools or other identified hazards;
repeated inability or refusal to follow essential safety instructions;
behaviour requiring ongoing 1:1 supervision beyond our staffing capacity.
Where a behaviour presents an immediate safety risk, a parent/guardian may be contacted and asked to collect their child.
Cultivating Curiosity reserves the right to pause, suspend or discontinue a child’s participation where we reasonably determine that we cannot safely meet their needs within our staffing, environment or program structure.
Where appropriate, we will communicate with the parent/guardian to discuss concerns and whether reasonable strategies or adjustments may support continued participation.
Risk Acknowledgement & Waiver
I understand that Cultivating Curiosity is a nature-based program and may include outdoor exploration, bushland, parks, creeks, shorelines, uneven terrain, climbing, balancing, physical activity, cooking, gardening, age-appropriate tools, art materials and other hands-on learning experiences.
I understand that participation in these activities involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, including slips, trips, falls, cuts, scratches, bites or stings, exposure to weather and natural environments, and risks associated with physical and water-based activities.
Cultivating Curiosity takes reasonable precautions to identify and manage foreseeable risks through supervision, risk assessments, safety procedures and age-appropriate boundaries.
I acknowledge that despite these precautions, participation cannot be made entirely risk-free.
I consent to my child participating in the ordinary activities of the Cultivating Curiosity program, subject to educator judgement, relevant risk assessments and any limitations or medical information I have disclosed.
Fees, Bookings & Cancellations
Bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once the required booking and payment process has been completed.
Fees must be paid in accordance with the price and payment terms displayed at the time of booking.
Cancellations require a minimum of two weeks’ notice to be eligible for a refund or credit, unless otherwise stated in the booking conditions.
Where sufficient notice is not provided, fees may be non-refundable.
Where possible, Cultivating Curiosity may offer a make-up session or transfer to another available date; however, this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
If Cultivating Curiosity cancels a session, families will be offered an appropriate refund, credit or alternative session.
Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement
By signing below, I confirm that:
I am the child’s parent/legal guardian or am authorised to complete this enrolment on their behalf;
the information I have provided throughout this enrolment form is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge;
I have disclosed any medical, behavioural, developmental, emotional, sensory or safety information that may reasonably affect my child’s participation;
I will notify Cultivating Curiosity if any relevant information changes;
I have read and understood the Arrival & Collection, Medical Conditions & Emergency Care, Behaviour & Participation, Risk Acknowledgement & Waiver, and Fees, Bookings & Cancellations information above;
I understand the nature of the Cultivating Curiosity program and consent to my child participating in accordance with the information provided;
I understand and accept the conditions outlined above.
