Swim Ulster in partnership with Sport NI, Swim Ireland, invite you to take part in our FREE GWSS Beach to Buoy session being held at Newcastle Slipway.

The details are as follows:

Date: Sunday 16th August 2026

Times: 14:00 to 15:00

Venue: On the wall beside the outdoor pool infront of the Whistledown Hotel.

The session will provide the following topics and skills:

Entries & Exits, Sighting, Buoy Turns, Pack Swimming, Drafting and Stroke Analysis, plus any bespoke open water skills provided by our coaching teams.

Who is it for:

Anyone who wants to become a more efficient swimmer, who wants to enter a swim/triathlon event, who wants to be a more confident swimmer and swim further in open water.

Pre-requisties: Be aged over 18yrs

Equipment: Wetsuits are NOT mandatory, but the water will be cold so we recommend that a wetsuit is worn if you have one.

A FREE Swim Ulster Swim Cap will be provided for all those who attend the session. Please note: The use of a tow float is mandatory and this is must be supplied by you and is NOT provided by Swim Ulster.
