• 19th Annual Winter Park Paint Out

    Thank you for your interest in the 2027 Winter Park Paint Out. Each year, The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens (“the Polasek” or “Museum”) hosts 24 artists during the last full week of April for our signature fund raising event. The Winter Park Paint Out is a JURIED entry event. We encourage all plein air artists to apply and welcome both local, out-of-state, and international participants. Select artists from the 2026 Paint Out will be asked to return based on their number of sales. The remaining spaces are open to any other artists wishing to return in 2027 or to participate for the first time.

    ALL artists must submit a completed application along with three recent plein air images (within the last 2 years).  No studio works please.

  • Part 3: Plein Air Images

    Please attach three (3) recent plein air images. The Selection Panel will use these images to judge your work. These examples should all be recent (created within the last two years) plein air works (not studio) and of the type and quality you would expect to create during the Paint Out. For each painting, enter the title, size and medium (e.g., oil on canvas, acrylic onboard, pastel, watercolor) in the space provided. High resolution images are not required, email sized is acceptable, as long as your images are clearly visible and not grainy. Please name each of your attached image files with the appropriate title.

  • Part 4: Housing and Signature

  • Out-of-town artists often stay with friends or relatives in the area, making their own housing arrangements for the Paint Out. Upon request, the organizing committee will do its best to match up out-of-town artists with a host family or individual in the area. Artists with certified service animals are required to arrange their own housing.

    Artists provided housing are asked to leave a “Thank You” painting done during the Paint Out for their hosts in appreciation for the accommodations received. Hosts are not responsible for artist’s meals or transportation.

  • By signing and submitting this form, you acknowledge and agree to permit the use and publication of images and information contained in this application (excluding addresses and phone numbers) by the Polasek to create our online directory and printed event program for the 2027 Winter Park Paint Out, and to promote current and future events and for any other purposes deemed appropriate by the Polasek. The Polasek may use the content at its sole discretion.
