Our Families Are Not Insignificant — Please add your name

On July 20, Claymont neighbors delivered this petition to EPA — 170 names strong. EPA told residents that radiation is outside the scope of its cleanup and pointed us to the U.S. Department of Energy. So we're still collecting. Every name added from here goes with us to the Department of Energy and to EPA's upcoming public comment period.

We live and raise our families near the old Allied Chemical site, 6300 Philadelphia Pike in Claymont — now Honeywell / Delaware Valley Works. Workers handled uranium here for the government's weapons program in the 1950s and 60s, and the ground has never been tested for radiation. The government called this site 'safe' without ever looking. We don't accept 'safe' without proof. Your story is the proof they left out. Leave any question blank if you'd rather not answer.
