• The Story Lodge Exhibitor Application

    This application is for Vendors, Authors, Publishers, Independent Presses, Bookstores, Libraries, Literary Organizations, Press & Media, Educators, Indigenous Artists, and Bookish Vendors interested in participating in The Story Lodge. Welcome to The Story Lodge Vendor Application. Thank you for your interest in participating in The Story Lodge: An Indigenous Literary & Book Fair, hosted by The Dreaded Hidatsa × Mashkiki Studios in partnership with Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center. The Story Lodge celebrates Indigenous storytelling, literature, publishing, language, and community. We welcome applications from Indigenous authors, publishers, bookstores, literary organizations, educators, artists, and bookish vendors. We also welcome businesses and organizations that represent, publish, distribute, or sell Indigenous books and literary works. Each accepted vendor will receive one table and two chairs. No electricity will be available. Vendors who can provide their own table may be given preference; bringing your own table is optional. A limited number of Community Scholarship Booths are available and are awarded based on need and available funding. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.

  • Members of the media may request access to interview authors, publishers, presenters, and exhibitors during the event. Interview requests are subject to participant availability and approval.
  • Approved media may receive a press badge and access to a designated media check-in area.

  • Indigenous Author (Self Published or Traditionally Published): $40; Independent Publisher / Small Press: $60; Bookstore: $75; Literary Magazine / Journal: $50; Bookish Goods (bookmarks, stickers, literary art, journals, etc.): $50; Indigenous Artist (at least 50% of my booth will feature bookish or literary-related items): $50; Nonprofit / Literary Organization: $35; University / College / Institution: $100.
