WHO ARE WE?
Elite Family is a dance company that brings a unique blend of experiences for dancers looking to train, grow, and perform/compete in a team oriented setting. We're the team that pushes for excellence in our artistry. We're the team that enjoys dance drills and working out to help enhance our vision and keep our performative edge. We're the team that wants to connect with eachother because dance is more than just movement.

Led by Shawn Vue and Nancy Xiong, our leadership boasts over decades of combined experience in teaching/coaching thousands of dancers around the midwest to grow within Hip Hop culture, street, club, and funkstyles. We are passionate mentors dedicated to elevating dancers through training, freestyle, and performances. Our focus extends beyond technical skills, as we aim to nurture growth and empower each dancer to reach their full potential.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Elite Family Dance Company is looking for passionate dancers ready to step into the next level and to grow, build, and perform in our season 12 Production. Dance is more than choreography; It's about artistry, discipline, community, and pushing each other to become the best versions of ourselves. Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills, build your confidence, or perform alongside a dedicated team, this is your opportunity to become an Elite Fam dancer.

This is part 2 of season 12 labeled as PRODUCTION. During this section of the season, our dancers will be learning, training, and working together to build an Elite Family style theater production following the vision of the set.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SEASON WHEN YOU ARE AN ELITE FAM DANCER?
Our company runs differently. We keep our main season goal front and center while building dancers through layered training.

That looks like: physical conditioning, foundation and technique drills, concept work, freestyle, knowledge sessions, intensives, and real discussions that push us to think. We adapt constantly — everything we do is designed to build each other up and grow with our Elite Family style.

Practices/rehearsals blend style learning, choreography work, and performance training alongside scheduled content. And the journey includes side quests: performances, paid + unpaid gigs, and Elite Family projects. Some optional, all part of the story.

Elite Fam Season 12 production isn’t a program promising formal dance training in just one discipline. We’re a village of dancers who support each other through the shared purpose and challenges of being students, performers, and teammates — all at once.

AUDITION INFO
Audition #1

Audition #2
July 24th 2026 | Friday
7PM to 10PM
*You only need to attend one of two dates to be considered in the audition process. *You can attend BOTH dates for the best possible results.
*Location address will be sent out via email once you officially register.

COST
$5 each to audition
$10 to attend BOTH auditions

AUDITION CONTENTS
1) Warm up, drills, and freestyles
2) One choreography piece taught by the Directors
3) Group filming

AUDITION SELECTION JUDGING PROCESS
1) Your participation in the pre-audition workshops will be considered in the judging process.
2) Your answers to the online interview questions will be used in the judging process.
3) Your participation at audition #1 and/or audition #2 will be used in the judging process.
4) Results of your audition will be given within a 3-day period from audition #2 date.
5) Feedback of your audition performance and results will not be given.

***ONLINE AUDITION PROCESS
There will be NO online audition process.

ELITE FAM DANCER INFORMATION
Dancers who are accepted in the audition have orientation from 10am to 2pm on August 1st, 2026. The first official day of practice is August 2nd, 2026.

MONTHLY TUITION
$50 a month

AGE RESTRICTION
This is an 18+ team.
If you are 17 and turning 18 before September 2026, you may register to audition with your legal parent/guardian approve and signature.

SEASON REHEARSAL INFO
August 2026 to February 2027
1) Weekly practice one | Sundays from 10am to 1pm
2) Weekly practice two | Fridays from 7pm to 9pm

Average 20 hours of rehearsal/training a month

NOTES
*Changes/cancellations to Sunday and Friday rehearsals will be released monthly so dancers can prep ahead.
*Additional rehearsals will be scheduled in advance.
*More rehearsal time will be added based on performances.
*Select Sunday or Friday rehearsals will be cancelled as needed, with notice given ASAP.

ONLINE INTERVIEW

Make sure you allocate enough time for yourself to read and answer each question to its fullest. We recommend copying and pasting these questions onto a separate document to fill out so you do not lose any progress.
What makes you want to commit to learning and growing inside our style and how Elite Family performs?
Our team commits to 2 practices a week - Fridays and Sundays, 2-4 hours each. On top of that, expect random weekends for performances, additional training, practices, and team bonding. How does this time commitment for the season fit your current schedule and priorities?

MEDIA AND LIABILITY WAIVER

This Media and Liability Waiver grants Elite Family Dance Company LLC, its successors, and assigns the irrevocable right to photograph, film, and record me or the named minor for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to advertising, promotional materials, media coverage, and social media. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product or use.

I understand that participation in Elite Family Dance Company dance auditions involves physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to sprains, strains, broken bones, serious injury, illness, or death. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Elite Family Dance Company LLC, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from or related to my participation, including those caused by the negligence of the released parties, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I acknowledge that I have read and understood this waiver, am of legal age and competent to sign it, or am the legal parent/guardian of the participant. I agree to its terms voluntarily.
