Call for Muralists 2026

CALL FOR NY MURALISTS

The Patchogue Arts Council in partnership with NYSCA’s Cultivating Havens for the Arts through Regional Murals (CHARM) program invites individuals or artist teams to submit portfolios to be reviewed for several large-scale murals to be installed across Long Island, NY by September 2026!

Mural stipends will range from 10,000 - 15,000, plus supplies, and professional documentation.

3-4 Artists will be chosen for several sites located across Long Island!

Artists MUST be living and working in NY or have a significant connection to Long Island and will be expected to have their own insurance.

The selection process will take place in three steps.

1. Artists submit a portfolio of their best mural works. Artists must have experience with medium to very large murals.
Deadline for submitting your muralist portfolio is August 1.

2. Our partner sites will review artist portfolios and select three artists to complete a proposal. Artists selected will be given a $350 stipend to complete the proposal. Artists chosen to complete the proposal will be selected notified by August 5 and will need to complete the proposal by August 15.

3. The final artist selected for each location will need to complete the mural between August 20 - September 25, 2026.

IMPORTANT DATES

August 15 | Site specific proposal due
August 20 | Chosen muralists will be notified via EMAIL by a PAC representative.
Artist will be expected to install the mural between August 20 - September 25, 2026.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
• Artists must be living and working in New York
• All artists must include ALL of the following: CV/ resume, bio, and an artist statement.
• Artists must have significant large scale mural experience.
• Submissions that do not follow ALL of the above guidelines will not be considered.
Submit a minimum of 5 past works, max of 10.

The form will not submit without all required fields completed.
