If you are seeking financial assistance to participate, please complete this scholarship application after submitting the general Refugia application. If you have not yet completed the general application, please do so first, then return here to apply for a scholarship. 

About our scholarship fund
Our scholarship fund is made possible through the generosity of community members and our own budgeting to offer several discounted spots in Refugia. Because funds are limited, scholarships are intended for those who would otherwise be unable to participate due to financial hardship or significant life circumstances. If that reflects your current situation, we warmly welcome your application.

What to expect
We aim to respond to scholarship applications within one month of submission. This allows time for additional scholarship donations to come in and for enrollment in each cohort to become clearer. If we receive sufficient scholarship funding and each cohort reaches at least 25 participants, we may be able to offer additional scholarships. We offer a set number of scholarships, with tuition that may be reduced up to, but not more than, 50%. (The 50% discount puts tuition at $2498.) We appreciate it when those seeking assistance pay more if they don't require the full 50% reduction. This allows us to pass on discounted tuition to more individuals. 

Thank you for understanding that we are not a corporation with extensive funds, but two hardworking individuals trying to make ends meet for our family. Please know that if Refugia is not possible for you due to cost, we do offer many other lower-cost ways to work with us. (e.g., You can join us for guided meditation sessions on Zoom on weekday mornings for as little as $3/month.)

Please note: Scholarship awards are based on demonstrated financial need, mitigating life circumstances, and the funds available in our scholarship fund. While we will do our best to support as many participants as possible, we cannot guarantee that every application will result in assistance. We have a fixed budget for scholarship funds that we can afford to offer, and we also welcome donations that can grow the funds we have available to offer.

Our scholarships are awarded on a first-come basis.
