2026 Watson River Day Trip

After having to skip it due to water levels for the past couple of years, YCKC is finally heading back to the Watson River on Saturday July 18th! This river is mostly class I/II with an optional III/IV canyon at the start.

Please make sure to bring enough food and water for the day as we will be stopping for lunch on the river.

Meet at Fuel Yukon on the Alaska Highway, just south of Robert Service Way, at 8am. Put in is near Spirit Lake Lodge and the takeout is in Carcross.

Saturday

8-8:30 AM - Meet at Fuel Yukon on the Alaska Highway, south of Robert Service
9:30 AM – Rendevous at Spirit Lake Lodge & Set Shuttle
11:00 AM - Put in
6:30 PM - Arrive back in Whitehorse

All participants must have a current YCKC membership, sign a 26/27 waiver and have appropriate gear.

If you need to borrow YCKC gear, you can pick it up from the YCKC Bins on Thursday, July 16th at 6:30 PM.
