  • What are FIDE ID Codes and ECF Rating codes?

These are really important unique IDs! I need to identify you accurately. If you are in the FIDE rated sections then you should quote your FIDE ID code. Look your name up here - http://ratings.fide.com and your ID number is on the left. It's numbers only.

If you can't find a FIDE ID code then quote your ECF grading code. Look here - http://www.ecfrating.org.uk/ and the rating code is called "ref" on the left hand side. It's letters and numbers.

Your ECF membership status is also displayed on the ECF database.
