  • Expression of Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in the Queenstown International Football Cup 2027.

To register your club's interest, please complete the form below.

Due to the size of the festival and the number of teams involved, there is a good chance your team may play one day of the tournament in beautiful Wānaka. We think that's a pretty special part of the experience—it's one of the most spectacular places in the world and just over an hour from Queenstown.

    Please note:

    • Only one submission per club is required.
    • Submitting this Expression of Interest does not guarantee entry into the tournament.
    • Team selections will be based on the number of places available in each grade and our event selection criteria.
    • Once selections have been completed, clubs will be contacted via email to confirm whether they have secured a place.

Our team aims to confirm places within 2–3 weeks of receiving your submission. If you haven't heard from us within that timeframe, it simply means your team(s) have been placed on our waiting list. Should a place become available, we'll be in touch as soon as possible.

  • We are always aiming to improve the festival experience, and one key area is referee availability. If your club has a qualified junior referee who could join us, it would significantly support our efforts and be much appreciated. Can your club contribute a referee?*

    1. Entry Fee Payment Terms:
      - Per team: $950/team

      - Payment Schedule:
         - Deposit: $250 per team is required to secure your spot
         - Full Payment Due: 1st December 2026

Bank account details will be provided when team entry is confirmed so that the club/teams can then process the deposit payment.

    2. Withdrawal Terms
      - Withdrawals on or before 1 October: Teams are eligible for a full refund, including the $250 deposit.
      - Withdrawals from 2 October to 30 November: Teams are eligible for a refund of any fees paid, less the $250 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable during this period.
      - Withdrawals on or after 1 December: No refunds will be issued.

Please Note: By securing places, teams may prevent other clubs from participating. Withdrawing after December can impact other teams’ ability to join and limits their fundraising time, making it challenging for them to replace a team on short notice.

    3. Zero-waste Event Commitment
In line with our sustainability goals, Global Games is committed to running zero-waste events.

By entering, your club agrees to:
      - Sort and manage your team’s general waste, recycling and organics throughout the event
      - Set up a simple team sorting station or labelled bags within your team area
      - Ensure players, whānau and supporters understand what goes where
      - Drop clean, pre-sorted recyclables and organics at the Without Waste tent
      - Take all general waste away with you at the end of each day
Leave your team area clean and ensure no waste is left behind at the venue
      - Please factor general waste disposal costs into your team’s fundraising and event planning. This helps reduce contamination, keep valuable resources out of landfill, and supports a more sustainable future for our events.

Teams are also encouraged to sign up for a voluntary litter pick during the festival to help keep the venue and surrounding areas clean.

    4. Media, Photography and Live-streaming

By submitting this Expression of Interest, the club acknowledges that, if accepted into the event, Global Games, its event partners, media providers and approved photographers/videographers may capture photography, video, audio, live-stream footage and other media during the event.

This content may be used by Global Games for event coverage, live-streaming, social media, websites, promotional material, reporting, marketing, sponsor recognition and future event promotion.

If accepted, the club is responsible for ensuring that all players, parents/caregivers, coaches, managers and supporters are made aware of this condition. By participating in the event, the club confirms that it has the appropriate permissions to agree to this on behalf of its team members and associated supporters.

If any player, parent/caregiver or supporter does not consent to being photographed, filmed or included in live-stream coverage, the club must notify Global Games in writing before the event so that reasonable steps can be taken where possible.
