Zero-waste Event Commitment
In line with our sustainability goals, Global Games is committed to running zero-waste events.
By entering, your club agrees to:
- Sort and manage your team’s general waste, recycling and organics throughout the event
- Set up a simple team sorting station or labelled bags within your team area
- Ensure players, whānau and supporters understand what goes where
- Drop clean, pre-sorted recyclables and organics at the Without Waste tent
- Take all general waste away with you at the end of each day
Leave your team area clean and ensure no waste is left behind at the venue
- Please factor general waste disposal costs into your team’s fundraising and event planning. This helps reduce contamination, keep valuable resources out of landfill, and supports a more sustainable future for our events.
Teams are also encouraged to sign up for a voluntary litter pick during the festival to help keep the venue and surrounding areas clean.
Media, Photography and Live-streaming
By submitting this Expression of Interest, the club acknowledges that, if accepted into the event, Global Games, its event partners, media providers and approved photographers/videographers may capture photography, video, audio, live-stream footage and other media during the event.

If accepted, the club is responsible for ensuring that all players, parents/caregivers, coaches, managers and supporters are made aware of this condition. By participating in the event, the club confirms that it has the appropriate permissions to agree to this on behalf of its team members and associated supporters.
If any player, parent/caregiver or supporter does not consent to being photographed, filmed or included in live-stream coverage, the club must notify Global Games in writing before the event so that reasonable steps can be taken where possible.
