  • Inclusion Week Toolkit User Agreement

    Please take a moment to read through the following information. This Toolkit Use Agreement is entered into by and between the Founding Inclusion Week Board and the individual, school, university, chapter, organization, or office receiving access to the Inclusion Week Toolkit.
  • Purpose of the Toolkit

    The Inclusion Week Toolkit was created to help schools, universities, Best Buddies chapters, student organizations, and community partners plan and host their own Inclusion Week programming focused ondisability inclusion, accessibility, belonging, kindness, and community.The goal of this agreement is to allow the toolkit to be shared and used while preserving proper credit,protecting the original work, and keeping the Founding Inclusion Week Board involved in future use,updates, and expansion.
  • Original Creators

    The Inclusion Week Toolkit was created by: Alexis Rosa Melanie Gyorke Isabella Ferr Together, they serve as the Founding Inclusion Week Board. The toolkit was originally developed and is maintained by the Founding Inclusion Week Board.
  • Ownership and Credit

    The recipient agrees that the Inclusion Week Toolkit, including its written content, structure, planning materials, templates, branding, and original resources, was created by the Founding Inclusion Week Board. The recipient agrees to provide proper credit whenever using, sharing, presenting, adapting, or referencing the toolkit. Suggested credit language: “Inclusion Week Toolkit created by Alexis Rosa, Melanie Gyorke, and Isabella Ferr, the Founding Inclusion Week Board.” The recipient may not remove creator names, board references, copyright notices, acknowledgments, or credit statements from the toolkit or related materials.
  • Permitted Use

    The recipient may use the Inclusion Week Toolkit to: 1. Plan and host an Inclusion Week at their school, university, chapter, organization, or community. 2. Adapt event ideas, schedules, and planning materials to fit their campus or community needs. 3. Share the toolkit internally with members of their planning team for the purpose of organizing Inclusion Week. 4. Reference the toolkit in meetings, presentations, or planning conversations with proper credit to the Founding Inclusion Week Board.
  • Restrictions on Use

    The recipient may not, without written permission from the Founding Inclusion Week Board: 1. Rebrand the toolkit as their own. 2. Remove the names of the original creators. 3. Claim ownership of the toolkit or original Inclusion Week materials. 4. Sell the toolkit or use it for personal profit. 5. Upload the toolkit publicly without permission. 6. Distribute the toolkit widely outside of their school, chapter, organization, or planning team. 7. Incorporate the toolkit into a larger regional, statewide, national, or organizational initiative without involving the Founding Inclusion Week Board. 8. Make major revisions to the toolkit and present the revised version as an official Inclusion Week Toolkit without review by the Founding Inclusion Week Board. 9. Use the toolkit in a way that conflicts with the mission of inclusion, accessibility, belonging, respect, and disability advocacy.
  • Adaptations

    The recipient may make reasonable adaptations to fit their school or community, including changes to campus partners, schedules, room locations, budgets, and activity details. However, any major changes to the toolkit’s structure, branding, mission, credit language, accessibility guidance, or official materials should be communicated to the Founding Inclusion Week Board before distribution or presentation. Adapted versions should clearly state that they are based on the original Inclusion Week Toolkit created by the Founding Inclusion Week Board.
  • Future Projects and Expansion

    If the recipient wishes to use the toolkit as part of a larger initiative, training, conference presentation, regional rollout, statewide rollout, national program, official Best Buddies initiative, or other expanded project, the recipient agrees to communicate with and include the Founding Inclusion Week Board in the planning process. The Founding Inclusion Week Board should remain involved in future projects connected to the toolkit, including major updates, presentations, trainings, promotional materials, and expansion efforts.
  • Communication with the Founding Inclusion Week Board

    The recipient agrees to keep the Founding Inclusion Week Board informed if they plan to host Inclusion Week using the toolkit. The recipient is encouraged to share: 1. The name of their school, university, chapter, or organization. 2. The expected dates of their Inclusion Week. 3. The events or activities they plan to host. 4. Any major adaptations made to the toolkit. 5. Feedback, photos, outcomes, or reflections after the event, when appropriate. Contact for the Founding Inclusion Week Board is as follows.   • Accessibility and Mission Alignment

    The recipient agrees to use the toolkit in a way that supports disability inclusion, accessibility, belonging, dignity, and respect. The recipient should make reasonable efforts to ensure that Inclusion Week events, materials, and communications are accessible to people with disabilities. This may include accessible locations, captioned media, readable graphics, inclusive language, and accommodations when needed.
  • Copyright Notice

This toolkit may be used and adapted for educational and inclusion-based programming with proper credit to the original creators and the Founding Inclusion Week Board. Major revisions, rebranding, redistribution, or use in larger initiatives requires communication with the Founding Inclusion Week Board.
  • No Transfer of Ownership

    Receiving or signing this agreement does not transfer ownership of the Inclusion Week Toolkit or related materials to the recipient. The Founding Inclusion Week Board remains the creator and maintaining body of the toolkit.

    By signing below, the recipient acknowledges that they have read and agree to the terms of this Toolkit Use Agreement.
