Fleet management is changing rapidly. From compliance and decarbonisation to digital technology, operational resilience and workforce development, today's fleet professionals are expected to manage more responsibilities than ever before.
To help showcase the people behind the UK's essential fleets, Essential Fleet Group Ltd is developing The Essential Fleet Professional – The UK's Careers, Skills & Professional Development Guide for Fleet Management. It will explore careers, qualifications, professional development and the evolving role of fleet professionals across the essential services sector.
To ensure the guide reflects the experiences of those working in the industry, we're inviting fleet professionals to complete a series of short surveys. It takes less than five minutes to complete each survey and will help us build a clearer picture of:
- The roles and responsibilities within fleet management
- How people entered the profession
- Qualifications and professional development
- The biggest challenges facing today's fleet professionals
- Advice for future fleet professionals
The findings will be used to create industry insight, benchmark data and editorial features that support both current and future fleet professionals and will be used to create the new Essential Fleet Professional 2027 guide that will be published later this year.
As part of the survey, you'll also have the opportunity to volunteer for our new "My Fleet Journey" interview series, where we'll share the career stories of fleet professionals from across the sectors we serve.
