Examples: Slip-resistant surfaces or mats, handrails, drainage or walkway improvements, staff training related to de-escalation and safe response practices, protective equipment, communication or alert systems, environmental modifications intended to reduce staff injuries during student behavioral incidents, water detection devices, automatic water shutoff systems, and other measures directly related to the identified loss drivers.
Grant Amount: $2,500 per member per fiscal year. This amount is available in addition to the member’s other Multi-Line grant funding.
Applications must identify the applicable loss-driver category and briefly explain how the proposed purchase or project is expected to reduce the member’s exposure to loss. Supporting documentation, including a quote or invoice, must be provided and match the requested amount.
This grant is not intended to fund preventive maintenance, routine operating costs, recurring expenses, or projects that do not directly address one of the identified loss-driver categories.
