• 2027-2031 JPA Journal Editor Application Form

  • Applicants should be prepared to transition to the editorship during the period from October 15 through December 31, 2026 and to begin receiving and processing manuscripts on January 1, 2027. Criteria to be considered in selecting the editor include:

    • History of significant publications and visibility in the field of personality assessment;
    • Comprehensive knowledge and broad perspective on personality assessment, and openness to multiple assessment measures and methods;
    • Understanding and appreciation of the many sub-disciplines and theoretical orientations within personality assessment;
    • Demonstrated research, writing, reviewing, and editing skills; and
    • A commitment to diversity and inclusion, both in journal content and in choice of associate editors and reviewers.

    The Editor reports to the Publications Committee for a 5-year renewable term, and has sole control of the content of the journal. The position comes with an annual stipend plus generous financial support for the operation of an editorial office.
