What will my pet's boarding experience look like?

Your pet will have multiple opportunities throughout the day for potty time, play and attention. I have a rule, if I cannot have my eyes on your pet, then they are kenneled. Obviously this means nightime, but also if I'm out running an errand, etc. Your pet MUST be okay with crating.

If you selected "Manners & Meals", I will incorporate the requested skills (see below).

What do I need to bring for my pet's stay?

I have plenty of bowls, bedding and toys. You will provide food (and meds if needed [$1 per pill per occurrence]), poopie bags and any chews or treats you'd like them to enjoy.

I often share other yummy treats, so please let me know if you do not want your pet to have anything in addition to what you provide.

Please take note of drop-off (5-7pm) / pick-up (8am-10am) times. Requests outside of these ranges will incur an $10/hour additional fee. Later drop-off times may be available without an additional charge, just ask.

Please be prompt for your drop-off and pick-up appointments. I plan my day around your requests so I'm available specifically for your needs. If things change, please let me know as soon as possible. I am always available via text message.

**Please understand, if you request to pick up your dog on an earlier date then reserved while your pup is with me, the full amount of the boarding service is still required. In addition, off-hour fees ($10/hr)[if applicable] will apply to the new pick-up date.

I understand leaving your pet behind while you're away can be a tough thing to do. I truly appreciate your trust. Rest assured your pet will be cared for as if they are one of my own! I am located in Owings Mills.

Boarding Options and Descriptions:

Standard Boarding, $45/night – includes feeding (you supply food), potty time, playtime and attention. Standard boarding is basic care, no reinforcement with any skills or manners. Medication administration is an additional $1 per pill, per occurance.

Manners & Meals, $60/night – in addition to the amenities sited above for Standard Boarding (feeding [you supply food], potty time, playtime, attention), with Manners & Meals, I reinforce already learned skills so your dog doesn’t backslide in their training while you're away. Think of Manners & Meals as a training maintenance option. There is a field on the Boarding Request Form to indicate the skills you want me to reinforce. Medication administration is an additional $1 per pill, per occurance.

If you have a puppy that is 20 weeks of age and under, you must select the Manners & Meals option so assistance with proper supervision, potty training, biting, jumping up, etc can be addressed to ensure your pup continues to develop appropriately.

If your dog is over 20 weeks of age you may select either Standard Boarding or Manners & Meals. If you are boarding a kitty, select Standard Boarding.

Pick-up times are by a mutually convenient appointment between 8am and 10am (outside of this window will incur and additional fee, $10/hr).

What’s the difference between Manners & Meals and a Board & Train program?

A Board & Train program is an intensive, basically 24/hour a day training program for teaching new behaviors or for help with owners who are struggling with training their dogs and can't seem to get them where they would like them to be.

The following immunizations are required for private boarding:
Date of pet's last parvo/distemper vaccination distemper/parvo*
Pet's last kennel cough (Bordetella) vaccination kennel cough*
Date of last rabies rabies*

Pet's under 16 weeks of age will not have had all their shots yet. This is expected. As long as your pet is up to date on vaccines appropriate for his or her age, your pet is fine to board.
