Miss USD 2027 Local Competition Registration

The Miss USD 2027 titleholders will advance on to compete at Miss South Dakota 2027 June 3-5,2027 in Brookings, SD.
Thank you for your interest in the Miss America and Miss South Dakota Organizations. We are excited to have you compete this year! Please fill out the form below to officially register to compete at Miss USD 2027 on September 12th, 2026. Once this is filled out, we will reach out to collect all of the paperwork needed. Registration closes August 29th.

Miss USD 2027 will be on September 12th, 2026

Please register by August 29th. If the deadline has passed, please reach out to our email, missusd.director@gmail.com. There is a $50 registation fee at the end of the form.

The Miss USD competition will once again be at the Ribs, Rods, and Rock and Roll Festival! The festival does a wonderful job supporting and promoting the organization and event. We invite you, your family, and friends to attend this event as a part of the competition weekend.

Tentative Plan with a detailed one to come after registration:

Friday - (8/11) Optional
- Attend Ribs, Rods, and Rock and Roll (the festival does a lot to help run and support Miss USD, so we encourage you all and your families/friends to attend over the weekend)
Saturday (8/12)
- Rehearsal
- Interviews
- Talent runs
- Lunch will be provided
- Competition - 3PM
- Attend the Ribs, Rods, and Rock and Roll Festival (Encouraged, but optional)

Miss Division: Ages 18-28

To compete in the Miss Division, you must be no younger than 18 years old as of September 1, 2026 and no older than 28 years old as of September 30,2026.

Teen Division: Ages 14-18

To compete in the Teen Division, you must be at least 14 years old on September1, 2026 and no older than 18 years old as of September 30,2026.

*If you're 18 years old, you may choose to compete in either division - but once you've selected one, you cannot switch later.

Headshot:

Please prepare a professional, vertical headshot. This will be asked for when submitting official paperwork.

Talent:

You will need to prepare a 90 second max talent of your choice.

On-Stage Question and Interview:

You will participate in a private 10-minute interview as well as answer one on-stage question during the show. For these portions, please wear a business or business casual outfit of your choice.

Evening Gown:

You will participate in evening gown to showcase your style and confidence. For this portion of the event, you will need to wear an evening gown. If you need help getting a dress, All Done Up in Vermillion has LOTS of dresses and the cost is only a free will donation.

Fitness:

You'll compete in the on-stage fitness portion, so get ready to confidently rock your Red Rebel athletic wear and showcase your strength and stage presence! If you do not have any yet and would like help getting some borrowed for this competition, please reach out and we can work on getting some lined up for you.

MAO Registration

Please note that in addition to this local registration form, Miss America requires national registration as well.
MAO Membership Details:

Club America membership is $49.99 per year and will automatically renew annually unless you cancel. All payments are processed securely with bank-level encryption to protect your information. If you have registreed to be part of the Miss America Organization in the past and have an account, you will not need to re-register. Please be sure you have an active account.

New Contestants:

If you are new to the Miss America Organization or did not compete in the 2025/2026 season, you will be sent the link with directions on how to start your membership after you submit this form.

All Contestants:

Be prepaired to raise $30 via a Miss America Spot Fund account through the Miss America Organization. If you are new, the directions for this will be in the follow up email. If you are returning, you will need to raise $30 for each local you enter.
