• Objection to Postponement of Traffic Court Trial

This is the electronic submission form for the Objection to Postponement of Traffic Court Trial.

Use this electronic form if you received a Request for Postponement of Traffic Court Trial from another party in your case and you wish to object to the requested postponement.

If you object to the postponement, your objection must be filed with the Court within 5 DAYS from the date you were served with the Request for Postponement of Traffic Court Trial.

This electronic submission form is provided as a way to deliver your objection directly to the Court within the required timeline. This may help avoid delays caused by mailing time or other delivery delays.

Please complete this electronic form in its entirety. After you submit it, your objection will be delivered to the Court for consideration.

If you do not submit a timely objection, the Court may decide the request for postponement without your input.

Important: You Must Still Serve the Other Party

Submitting this electronic form files your objection with the Court, but it does not serve your objection on the requesting party and does not complete your service requirements.

After you successfully submit this electronic form, a PDF copy of your completed objection will be sent to the email address you provide. This PDF copy is the completed objection form that must be served on the requesting party.

How to Serve the Completed PDF Form

A copy of the completed PDF form must be served on the requesting party. The person who serves the completed PDF form must be at least 18 years old and must not be a party to the case.

Service may generally be completed by personal service or by mail. Personal service generally means having a qualified person personally deliver the completed PDF form to the requesting party. Service by mail generally means having a qualified person place the completed PDF form in a sealed envelope, with postage fully prepaid, addressed to the requesting party, and deposited with the United States Postal Service.

For service by mail, please review and follow the service-by-mail section included toward the bottom of the completed PDF form. Those instructions apply to the PDF copy of the objection form that you receive after submitting this electronic form.

After service is completed, the Declaration of Service section at the bottom of the completed PDF form must be completed by the person who served the objection. The completed Declaration of Service must then be filed with the Court in person or by mail.

This electronic submission form is intended to help you file your objection with the Court on time. It does not remove your responsibility to serve the requesting party and file the completed Declaration of Service with the Court.

    If You Do Not Object

If you do not wish to object to the request, you do not need to complete this electronic form. If the postponement is granted, the Court will notify you of the new court date.

If you do not object to the postponement but there are dates in the next two months when you are not available for trial, you may provide those dates in this electronic form. You may also notify the Court of your unavailable dates by phone or in writing.
