When God’s people come into God’s presence, we sing. Singing is a natural outpouring of love and adoration of God. Scripture is filled with songs and implores Christians to address one another in song, both in grief and celebration. Heaven itself is portrayed as filled with the songs of all creatures worshiping God.
Those who lead the church’s singing and organize its gathered worship are given an important and often difficult role. Worship leaders must juggle team dynamics, deeply held opinions, technical skill, technology, cultural contexts, and more all while leading the church to authentically and affectionately pour their hearts out to God in song. When this leadership is healthy, clear, and aligned with Scripture, the whole church benefits.
This cohort is meant to equip worship leaders with the skills needed to lead and organize the weekly worship of their church. It also provides a setting for veteran leaders to be refreshed as they sharpen their skills and understanding. Led by a group of seasoned worship leaders and pastors, this eight-week cohort is designed to foster personal well-being, organizational vitality, clarity of vision, and practical tips for leading your church to sing joyfully and loudly together.
