Any audition application submitted after the above date/time will incur a $10 late fee in addition to the standard $20 audition fee.

AUDITION ELIGIBILITY

Students enrolled in Jazz Performance Levels 2+ and Jazz Intermediate.
Students must be available on the following dates:

Dress Rehearsal:

Saturday, November 21, 2026

Performance Weekend 1:

Friday, December 4-Sunday, December 6, 2026

Performance Weekend 2:

Friday, December 18-Sunday, December 20, 2026

Dancers who will be unavailable on these specific dates will not be considered for casting. No exceptions will be made.

I understand that not everyone who auditions will be cast due to the limited number of roles in this production.

PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT: Each student who is cast and accepts a role will be charged a participation fee on October 15, 2026 (see below). This participation fee helps cover the props and costumes used in the performance, as well as other associated costs. The participation fee is not a costume rental or purchase fee. All costumes used are the property of the Metropolitan School of the Arts. Each cast member will be issued a costume in November and must return the costume before January 9, 2027.

Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Rehearsals may be held on Friday evenings in some instances. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be sent to all cast members.

I have read and understand the rehearsal and performance guidelines and the participation fee requirements.

I understand that this production is a commitment of my time, talent and energy. I understand that if I am unable to attend rehearsals and performances that I may not be cast for the production. Furthermore, if I am cast and do not attend rehearsals, I may forfeit my role to an understudy with no refund of fees paid. I understand that all performers are required to attend all scheduled performances.

FEES: If you are cast in the production, a participation fee of $225 per student and will be charged to your Metropolitan account on October 15, 2026. In addition to the production fee, you will also be charged a $35 costume cleaning fee. I agree to have the above participation fee applied to my Metropolitan account upon acceptance of any role(s) offered to me. I agree to provide payment in the form of cash, check or a valid credit card for these charges should the card on file be denied.
