Application Period - July 13, 2026 - August 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
To Apply:
- Applicants must be between 16 and 20 years of age as of January 1, 2027.
- Applications are due by Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 5:00pm. NO LATE OR DRAFT APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. If you have not submitted your application by 5:00 p.m. on August 13, the system will not kick you out but it will not allow you to submit and will give you an error message.
Details:
- Cost: $400 - No payment is necessary until final selection.
- All required attachments must be in PDF form and uploaded with application. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

Cadets will also be placed in situations where it is necessary to listen closely to instructions, process information, and quickly obey directions to ensure not only theirs but the safety of others.

  Assumption of Risk, Indemnity Agreement, and Photograph Release
  
  In consideration for the Roseville Fire Department permitting (participants name)   First Name*   Last Name*  to participate in Roseville Fire Department workout-related activities, the undersigned hereby voluntarily releases, discharges, waives, and relinquishes any and all present and future actions or causes for personal injury (including death) occurring to him/herself, or property damage, arising as a result of participating in said activity or any activities, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The undersigned releases the City from, and waives and relinquishes any claim, liability, cause of action, damages, or costs for personal injury or property damage arising as a result of participation in or receiving instructions from the City regarding said activity, excepting for such personal injury or property damage as may arise directly out of the active negligence of the City, its officers, agents or employees. The undersigned acknowledges that he/she has been fully advised of the risks and potential dangers incidental to engaging in the activity for which this registration is submitted, and voluntarily and knowingly assumes the risks of engaging in the activity.
  The undersigned agrees that under no circumstances will he/she or his/her heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns prosecute, present, submit, or pursue any claim for personal injury (including wrongful death) or property damage against the City of Roseville and/or the Roseville Fire Department (collectively, the "City") or any of the City’s officers, agents, volunteers, or employees for any of said or similar causes of action, including those which arise by the sole or active negligence or willful misconduct of City or of any of said persons associated with the City, and that any legal rights to such claims are waived to the fullest extent permitted by law. IT IS THE INTENTION OF/BY THIS INSTRUMENT TO RELIEVE THE CITY, AS WELL AS ITS OFFICERS, AGENTS, VOLUNTEERS, AND EMPLOYEES, FROM LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR WRONGFUL DEATH TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
  The undersigned further agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the City, its officers, employees, volunteers, and agents, from any loss, liability, damage, fees, cost, or expense arising out of the participation of said activity, including but not limited to, physical injury, medical conditions, or equipment failure. The undersigned acknowledges that he/she has been fully and completely advised of the potential dangers incidental to engaging in the activity and fully and voluntarily assumes the risks of engaging in the activity. These risks include, but are not limited to, muscle strain, falls, contact with other participants, equipment failure, cardiac events, and exposure to potentially hazardous conditions. The undersigned has read this document and is fully aware of the legal consequences of signing it.
  Further, the undersigned acknowledges that the City Public Affairs & Communications Department is responsible for producing and publishing a variety of newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, guides, flyers, and other informational materials for public access. The City Public Affairs & Communications Department is also responsible for the Roseville Government Access Channel 14/73 and other City video production services.
  I hereby authorize the City Public Affairs & Communications Department, or anyone authorized by the City Public Affairs & Communications Department and/or the Roseville Fire Department to use, reproduce, or publish all photographs or videotape of me which may be taken during my participation in the activities described above.
  I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS DOCUMENT AND AM FULLY AWARE OF THE LEGAL CONSEQUENCES OF SIGNING IT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A VOLUNTARY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND MY VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION OF ANY RISSK ASSOCIATED WITH MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ROSEVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT CADET PROGRAM. IF SIGNING ON BEHALF OF A MINOR, THE PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY HAVE READ THIS WAIVER AND SIGN IT ON BEHALF OF THAT PARTICIPANT WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF ITS CONTENT.
