The NC Violence Prevention Conference is North Carolina's only statewide event solely dedicated to addressing community violence. Held annually, this 2-day gathering brings together leaders, practitioners, and changemakers from across sectors to advance collaborative, evidence-based solutions for safer communities.
This year’s theme is Moving Evidence into Action, Transforming Community Safety. Conference breakout sessions, panels, and keynote speakers will focus on using data and evidence-informed approaches to initiate, enhance, and scale violence reduction initiatives in North Carolina. Additional content will include topics such as workforce wellness and cross sector collaboration in violence prevention.
Conference attendees typically represent multiple disciplines within the various sectors that are involved in violence reduction such as law enforcement, public health, health care, local and state government, and advocacy.
