Certification and Acknowledgment
By pressing submit, I agree to comply with the requirements of TMCC’s ECE Skills Certificate Scholarship Program. I understand that, if accepted, program benefits may include full tuition and fees, books, personalized support, and success coaching.
I agree to participate in a mandatory orientation meeting with the scholarship coordinator. If I am new to TMCC, I agree to apply to TMCC and complete New Student Orientation. I also understand that I must confirm in-state residency with Admissions and Records, as this scholarship cannot pay out-of-state tuition.
I agree to follow the required educational plan for the ECE Skills Certificate Program. This includes completing the ECE I Skills Certificate (9 credits) in either the spring or fall semester, or across no more than two consecutive semesters. If completing the ECE II Skills Certificate, I understand that all 18 credits must be completed across two consecutive semesters.
I agree to enroll in certificate courses at least two weeks before the start of the fall and spring semesters. I understand that failure to enroll by this deadline may result in denial of the scholarship award. I also agree to meet or communicate with the scholarship coordinator at least twice per semester and respond to scholarship coordinator communications within 48 hours.
I understand that I must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA, or earn a C or better in ECE/HDFS courses. I also understand that student schedules may vary, but all required courses must be completed within the approved timeframe.
I understand that failure to follow the program requirements may result in loss of program benefits. By submitting this form, I waive my rights to any pre-termination process under NSHE Code Title 2, Chapter 10 or 11.
I understand that if I do not pass a course paid for by the scholarship, I may still be eligible for remaining scholarship funds. To remain eligible, I must retake the course at my own expense, receive a passing grade, and complete the course by the end of the next consecutive semester. Once proof of completion is provided, I may be eligible for remaining scholarship funds, as available.
