About the Initiative
Pretty Girls Serve VA has proudly adopted the Bethel Athletic Fields through the Adopt-a-Spot program. Our goal is to help keep this shared community space clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. Volunteers work together to remove litter and debris while promoting environmental stewardship and community pride.
Safety Brief
Your safety is our priority. Please:
- Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather.
- Stay aware of your surroundings, including uneven ground, traffic, and wildlife.
- Use provided gloves and litter pickers whenever possible. Never pick up sharp objects, hazardous materials, or anything you cannot identify. Notify the event leader if you find these items.
- Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied or supervised by a parent, guardian, or designated group leader.
Volunteer Responsibilities
As a volunteer, you may be asked to:
- Pick up litter and small debris.
- Separate recyclable materials when applicable.
- Bag collected trash and place it in the designated collection area.
- Help distribute or collect cleanup supplies.
- Encourage teamwork while treating fellow volunteers and community members with kindness and respect.
- Follow all instructions provided by the event coordinator to ensure a safe and successful cleanup.
By participating in this community cleanup, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the safety guidelines and agree to follow all instructions provided by the event coordinator. Participation is voluntary and you are responsible for exercising reasonable care for your own safety throughout the event. Please notify the event coordinator immediately if you observe any unsafe conditions or encounter hazardous materials.
