Every year – and through the efforts of numerous dedicated and loyal volunteers – the Pickerington community welcomes Ohio high school marching bands to compete in the Pickerington Band Festival. This annual competition is a collaboration of the band programs from both Pickerington High School Central and Pickerington High School North. Supported by the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA), the Festival:
Provides high school marching band programs throughout the state an opportunity to showcase their talents in an OMEA recognized and adjudicated event; and
Provides Pickerington bands an opportunity to generate necessary funding for their programs and instruments.
The heart of the Pickerington community is its schools. As one of the largest districts in the State of Ohio, the Pickerington Local School District consistently ranks as a leader amongst its educational peers.
