• 2026-27 SheJumps x Ikon Pass Mountain Access Program Application

    SheJumps believes that all women and girls should feel belonging in the outdoors and acknowledges the historical exclusion of women, and specifically Black, Indigenous, Women of Color, to outdoor spaces. The SheJumps x Ikon Pass Mountain Access Program addresses these systems of inequity by generating opportunities for education, community-building, and connection. Our overall goal is to increase participation in winter sports and build stronger communities where all women can belong.

  • Who Can Apply

    The goal of the SheJumps x Ikon Pass Mountain Access Program is to increase access to skiing and snowboarding for Women of Color and women who have historically experienced barriers accessing snowports. Women and non-binary people of all races and ethnicities aged 18+ can apply, and race and ethnicity will not be considered in the selection process. All levels of skiers/snowboarders are encouraged to apply, including beginners.

  • Program Details & Logistics

    SheJumps is partnering with Ikon Pass to provide season passes to women who have historically experienced barriers accessing snowsports and want to learn to ski or snowboard or progress their skills. A total of 40 Ikon Passes will be provided for the 2026-27 winter season. Thank you to our partners Ikon Pass, Christy Sports, and Nordica for supporting this program.

    Successful program participants are committed to regularly participating in skiing or snowboarding during the 2026-27 winter. Demonstrated financial need and a desire to connect with and encourage others in their community are also important factors. 

    The program includes:

    • (1) Ikon Pass: ​​https://www.ikonpass.com
    • (1) Ski or snowboard rental. Will include either:
      • Season rentals (skis or snowboard, boots, poles) from Christy Sports. Must be able to pick up rentals from a Christy Sports store location in CO, UT, WA, or MT: https://www.christysports.com/locations/find-a-store.html.
      • If you do not live near a Christy Sports location, you can receive (1) one-day rental through Ski Butlers. One-day rentals through Ski Butlers include a helmet and an option to add goggles for free. One-day rentals through Ski Butlers are only available at select Ikon Pass destinations and subject to blackout dates.
    • (1) Half day ski or snowboard lesson at one of the following participating Ikon Pass mountains. This must be selected during the application process and cannot be changed. Participants will indicate their first and second choices for lessons, and we'll make every effort to accommodate their selections.

      3. Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort, California
      4. Big Bear Mountain Resort, California
      5. Crystal Mountain, Washington
      6. Palisades Tahoe, California 
      7. Sugarbush Resort, Vermont
      8. Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia
      9. Arapahoe Basin, Colorado

    While no prior ski/snowboard experience is required, it should be noted that program participants will need winter gear such as outerwear, goggles, helmet (strongly recommended), gloves, and other miscellaneous items. SheJumps and Ikon Pass are unable to offer participants any additional gear beyond the Ikon Pass, ski/snowboard rental, and lesson.

  • Timeline:

    • Application opens: September 8, 2026
    • Application window closes: September 29, 2026 at 11:59 pm MST
    • Selected participants notified: October 12, 2026. Program participants have 36 hours to confirm their acceptance. In unconfirmed within this timeframe, the spot will be offered to the runner-up. We understand that this can be a quick turnaround, but this timeline ensures that we are able to utilize every available spot.
