  •  What is the tour about?

    The MB Sports Ireland Tour is an international football and cultural experience, giving players the opportunity to travel as part of a team, play against Irish clubs and schools, experience Gaelic football culture, and explore Ireland. A unique opportunity for players to build confidence, independence and friendships through team travel.

     

    Why Ireland?

    • Safe, welcoming, English-speaking country

    • Gaelic football shares strong links to AFL — great for learning and development

     

    Where in Ireland?

    • While locations are yet to be confrimed, we will follow a similar Itinery to our 2026 tour which includes Dublin, Kerry, Galway, Donegal and Belfast

     

    When will the Tour run?

    • Departing early December and returning prior to Christmas

    • Fly into/out of Ireland

     

    What’s included in the package?

    • Return economy airfares, including taxes, from Australia to Dublin

    • 4-5 Football games

    • High Level Coaching

    • Private coach (Bus) with driver

    • Tour physio

    • Training sessions

    • All group activities are included in the tour package (e.g., Croke Park tour). Only optional activities chosen individually (e.g. a round of golf or personal sightseeing) may incur extra costs.

    • Twin share accommodation (3.5 – 4 star standard)

    • All breakfasts and 5 dinners

    • Playing kit for players and tour Merch for both players and family members

    What will players do when they aren’t playing?

    • Training sessions, recovery and team activities

    • School or club interactions where possible

    • Cultural and sightseeing experiences across Ireland

    • Opportunities to connect with local Irish players and communities

    • Regular downtime to relax and recharge

    • All Player activities will be supervised by tour staff

     

    What about the parents and families?

    Parents and family members are welcome to join the official tour package.

    • Players will be fully chaperoned by MB Sports tour staff

    • Families will have the chance to share the experience, enjoy quality time together and create lifelong memories

    • The tour includes flexibility for families to enjoy some of their own experiences along the way

    • Optional activities may include the Guinness Storehouse, distilleries, city tours, golf, cultural sites and historical attractions

    • Most days will include a balance of group activities, football commitments and family downtime

    • If you plan to travel elsewhere in Europe after the tour, we can help coordinate your return leg from another city

    For safety, supervision and communication reasons, parents and family members are asked not to travel separately alongside the group. All parent travel connected to the tour should be part of the official group package. This helps us maintain consistent supervision, communication and tour standards for all players and families.

      Family Members - $8,499 AUD (based on twin-share accommodation)

    Pricing is based on twin-share accommodation. Final pricing will be subject to currency fluctuations, airline taxes and final itinerary details.

     

    Do I need to commit now?

    Completing this form does not lock you in or confirm a place on the tour.

    Places will be limited, with priority given on a first-in basis once registrations open.

     

    What Happens next?

    • Complete this Expression of Interest form

    • MB Sports will review all EOIs based on eligibility, tour numbers and availability

    • If your child is accepted to proceed, a booking form will be sent to you to be completed

    • The deposit payment will be made as part of completing the booking form

    • A place on the tour is only confirmed once the booking form and deposit have been completed

  • Q: When exactly will the tour run?

    A: Final tour dates will depend on tour numbers and flight availability. This year’s tour departs on 8 December and returns on 22 December, and we will aim to run the 2027 tour as close to these dates as possible. The tour will return before Christmas.

     

    Q: What’s the payment timeline?

    A: Initial $750 Non refundable deposit

       30 November 2026 - $3000

       28 February 2027 -  $1500

       31 May 2027 -  $1500

       31 August 2026 - Final balance due

     

    Q: What type of football will be played on tour?

    A: Games will include a mix of Irish and Australian Rules, adapted to suit our group, the opposition and local umpires. The format will be similar to International Rules, with some flexibility depending on the host club or school.

     

    Q: Who is eligible to go?

    A:

    Boys Tour: Players entering Year 10 or Year 11 in 2027

    Girls Tour: Players entering Year 10, Year 11 or Year 12 in 2027

     

    Q: Will the players be supervised?

    A: Yes. The tour is fully chaperoned by MB Sports staff. Players will be supervised throughout the tour, including players whose parents or family members do not travel.

     

    Q: Is this purely a football tour?

    A: No. Football is a major part of the tour, but this is also a cultural and life experience. Players will receive high-quality coaching and support through training, games, recovery and review sessions. They will also experience sightseeing, team activities and local Irish sporting culture.

    The tour is designed to help players develop as footballers while also building confidence, independence, friendships and lifelong memories.
