  • JOB DESCRIPTION:

Are you ambitious, motivated and looking for an opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable industry experience and build a long-term career?

At Maffra Community Sports Club (MCSC), we're investing in our people, embracing new technology and developing the next generation of gaming and hospitality professionals.

As part of our commitment to building a strong, capable and future-focused team, we're looking to recruit up to three new Gaming Attendants to join our growing talent pool.

Whether you're an experienced gaming professional or someone with outstanding customer service skills and the ambition to learn, we want to hear from you.

A CAREER OPPORTUNITY WITH REAL INDUSTRY EXPOSURE

This isn't simply a position working on a gaming floor. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the MCSC Management Team, developing your understanding of gaming operations, leadership, customer engagement, regulatory compliance and the technology that drives today's hospitality industry.

Our Club maintains regular professional engagement with leading gaming industry suppliers, technology partners, regulators and industry bodies, including:

Aristocrat – Gaming technology, equipment and innovation.

Intralot – Gaming systems and technology.

Mercury Group – Gaming operations, business intelligence and industry development.

Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) – Gaming regulation and compliance.

Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) – Liquor licensing and regulatory requirements.

AUSTRAC – Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing compliance.

Through structured workplace learning, management mentoring and relevant industry training, you'll gain exposure to the broader operational and regulatory environment of a modern gaming venue.

Our objective is to develop people who understand not just what we do, but why we do it.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a Gaming Attendant, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while developing the skills and knowledge required to succeed in a highly regulated and evolving industry.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Providing professional, engaging and personalised customer service.
Supporting the daily operations of our gaming environment.
    • Developing knowledge of electronic gaming machines, gaming systems and operational technology.
    • Processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
    • Understanding and applying responsible gambling practices and harm minimisation requirements.
    • Building knowledge of gaming legislation, AML/CTF obligations and regulatory compliance.
    • Working alongside management to understand operational standards, business performance and continuous improvement.
    • Participating in additional training, professional development and industry learning opportunities

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're recruiting for attitude, ambition and potential – not just experience.

    We're interested in individuals who:

    • Have a genuine passion for customer service and hospitality.
    • Are motivated to learn, develop and take on new responsibilities.
    • Demonstrate honesty, integrity and sound judgement.
    • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Are comfortable learning new technologies and systems.
    • Show initiative, attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
    • Enjoy being part of a supportive, professional team.
    • Can work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
    • Previous gaming experience is an advantage, but it is not essential.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and hold, or be willing to obtain, the relevant Victorian RSA and RSG qualifications and complete any additional mandatory training.
