  • Business Hero of the Year

Some business people look beyond the bottom line, judging success by how many people they help rather than how much money they make.

Awarded to someone who uses their business to support worthy causes, this category celebrates those who put people before profit.

  • Business of the Year

Being a good business means doing good things.

From supporting local initiatives and inspiring the community to doing work that boosts the city’s reputation, this award pays tribute to a commercial organisation that’s given back to the Liverpool City Region over the past 12 months.

  • Emergency Service of the Year

Whether it's an individual or a entire emergency service, it’s important we recognise the incredible sacrifices those on the front line make to keep us all safe.
This award is to say, “We see you, we salute you, we’d be lost without you.”

  • Child of Courage

Young people often blow us away with their bravery. From tackling a serious illness with a smile to saving someone’s life, this award recognises the courage, fearlessness, and determination shown in the face of adversity.

Open to outstanding children aged up to 18.

  • Inspiring Influencer

The word influencer is overused these days. To us, being truly influential is about inspiring others.

Presented to someone who uses their platform to promote positivity, this award is for those who create content with heart and help make social media a happier, kinder place.

  • Sustainability Award

Taking sustainability seriously will drive the long‑term success of our city region.

This award recognises a business or organisation making a positive environmental, social and economic impact – now and for future generations.

  • Community Project

Magical things can happen when people come together for the good of the community.

We’re looking for an energetic group project that changed its neighbourhood for the better. It could be a sports or cultural project, a support group or even a local fete that raised funds for a good cause.

  • Community Hero

Know someone who has made a massive difference to where you live?

Whether they provide a much-needed service or make your area a safer place to live, this award is all about recognising an individual who goes above and beyond to support local people.

  • Fundraising Hero

We all do what we can to support our favourite charities. But some people take on daring challenges, organise initiatives, and literally go the extra mile to fundraise for good causes.

Let’s shout about these humble heroes and celebrate an individual who’s excelled in charity fundraising this year.

  • Sports Hero

Sport has the power to change lives – especially when passionate people make it welcoming and open to all.

From youth football coaches who pull out all the stops to inspirational sporting academies that make sports accessible, this award celebrates those who put inclusivity at the heart of everything they do.

  • The Make a Difference Award

Making a genuine difference in the world is no mean feat. It takes grit, guts, determination, and the ability to pursue the right path.

The winner of this award will be an individual who has made a positive impact in their community, city, or across the country by fighting for what they believe will benefit us all.

  • Charity of the Year

It’s a tough time to be a charity. Rising costs and a sharp decline in public donations make it more difficult than ever to raise funds.

Our Charity of the Year will have navigated these challenges by finding new ways to fundraise, deliver vital resources, and exceed expectations.

The winner will be the chosen charity for next year’s Guide Liverpool Heroes.

  •

    City Region Super Hero

Not all superheroes wear capes. In fact, last year’s winner, Speedo Mick, often wears very little.

Chosen by our judging panel, this award will go to an individual, business, or charity that inspires awe, respect, and admiration.

This award is not open for entry. The winner chosen by our judging panel.

  • The Inspiration Award

The Liverpool City Region is lucky to be filled with individuals and businesses who are a true inspiration to others.

Our final award honours an individual or business that sets an example, leads the way, and makes us proud to live in the greatest city in the world.

This award is not open for entry. The winner chosen by our judging panel.
