Help shape the next Amplify themes!
We are looking for your help in shaping some of our future work.
As you know, the Poverty Truth Network is passionate about ending poverty in the UK. Across more than 40 locations, we bring together people who experience poverty firsthand and those with power who want to do something about it — moving beyond a 'them and us' to a 'bigger us' where everyone's contributions matter and solutions are shaped by those who understand the realities of poverty best.
Through Amplify Theme Groups, some of our national work addresses issues identified across our network as needing urgent and joined-up action across the UK. Over the last six years we have brought Commissioners together to work on issues from housing and mental health to cost of living and disability benefits.
As we celebrate and close the current theme groups at this autumn's Commissioners Gathering, we want to hear from you about what issues we should be tackling next.
We'd love to hear your thinking whether you are a civic and business commissioner, community commissioner, interested partner or friend.
What makes a good Amplify theme?
Is there an issue that we should be tackling together? We're looking for issues where:
- There's a clear reason why it needs to be addressed beyond the local
- It feels important that it is tackled now
- It's something new - we haven't already had a group on that specific issue
- There are civic/business and community commissioners up for getting involved
- Commissioners have firsthand experience in this area
What issues are you seeing in your community and work that need to be addressed at a national level?
