    Billings Farm & Museum offers field trips every month except March.

    Please list your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd preferred field trip dates. We will do our best to accommodate your first choice whenever possible.

    To help us prepare the best possible experience for your group, please note that we are unable to accommodate arrivals before 10:00 AM.

    November–February: Groups must depart by 1:00 PM.

    April–October: Groups must depart by 1:30 PM.

    Please note that guided educational programming is not available after 1:00 PM.

  • About our Programs

    Like nature itself, the programs offered at the farm are shaped by the changing seasons. As the farm evolves throughout the year, so do our educational experiences, giving learners new opportunities to explore, discover, and connect with the rhythms of farm life.     For the safety and comfort of our students, some programs that take place in historic, unheated spaces are not available during the winter months. 

    Please note: Programs without a grade-level designation can be adapted for learners of all ages. Programs with specific grade levels listed are designed to meet the developmental needs and curriculum goals of those grades and are available only for those learners.

  • Build Your Field Trip 

    Each field trip includes 3 station rotations, with each rotation lasting approximately 40 minutes. The exception is July and August, when Billings Farm & Museum offers one guided program for visiting groups.

    When filling out the form below:

    Step 1: Find the month you’d like to visit.
    Step 2: Choose your 3 preferred programs.
    Step 3: Be ready for a phone call or email from a Billings Farm & Museum team member to finalize your visit.
    Step 4: Get excited for your field trip!

    We’ll do our best to accommodate your choices, but program availability and scheduling may require us to offer different programs. A member of the Billings Farm & Museum team will follow up with you to finalize your field trip plans.
