Scams are becoming more sophisticated every day, and seniors and other vulnerable community members are often the target. From phone calls pretending to be from the bank or the government, to fake emails, text messages, and online fraud, scammers are finding new ways to trick people out of their hard-earned money and personal information.
Join us for a free, easy-to-understand seminar designed to help you recognize the warning signs and protect yourself and your loved ones. Presented in partnership with the Toronto Police Service, this session will cover the most common scams targeting our community, practical steps you can take to stay safe, and what to do if you or someone you know has been targeted. There will also be time for your questions.
Whether you're worried about your own safety online, or you want to help protect a parent, grandparent, or neighbour, this seminar is for you. Everyone is welcome, and admission is free. Come learn how to keep yourself and our community safe.
