What is this survey about?
- Why children and young people in out of home care (OOHC) have spent time away from their resi care placement (without permission).
- How this impacts their safety and wellbeing.
By resi care we mean children and young people who have lived or are living in an Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) placement.
Your experiences, along with those of other children and young people, will help us make meaningful recommendations to improve things for children and young people in care.
What do we mean by children and young people?
We are referring to people:
- aged up to 21 years
- who are or have been in out-of-home care
- who have/are living in resi care
- who have spent time away from resi care (without permission)
Your responses can be anonymous
- Your survey responses will come directly to the NSW Ombudsman Inquiry team, not your casework team.
- You can choose to complete the survey anonymously (by skipping your name at the end).
How long will it take to complete?
This survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Most questions are multiple choice. You can answer as many or as few questions as you like.
