2026 Boeing Quantum Creators Prize Application

The Boeing Quantum Creators Prize recognizes early-career researchers for work that moves the field of quantum information science and engineering in new directions and aims to increase diversity in the field.

The program began in 2021 and expanded in 2023 thanks to a commitment from Boeing. Prizes are awarded at the annual Boeing Quantum Creators Prize Symposium hosted during the Q2B26 x Chicago Quantum Summit on December 8th -10th.

In recognition of accomplishment, awardees receive a $3,500 monetary prize, a trophy, and reimbursed travel to the Q2B26 x Chicago Quantum Summit.

Applications and recommendations are due on September 18th.

Which research area best describes your work?

Provide a research statement (500 words) outlining your research interests, achievements, and contributions to quantum science and engineering. You may include academic research, applied or product-oriented research, patents, technical leadership, proprietary work, or other relevant accomplishments, including work that may not be reflected in publications.

Provide a personal statement (300 words) describing your vision for a future career advancing quantum science and engineering research, education, technology, or innovation, and how that vision has been shaped by your perspectives and experiences in the STEM community.

Have you experienced any career interruptions that should be considered in determining eligibility, such as caregiving responsibilities, medical leave, military service, or other approved breaks? If yes, please briefly describe.

Applicants should also request a recommendation letter from an advisor, mentor, supervisor, or senior colleague to be submitted through the link provided here. Recommendations are due on September 18th.
