• 2027 Annual Meeting Call for Abstracts Papers & Posters Submission Form

  • Call for Abstracts

The Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association, (OVDRA), is making an open call for abstracts of research studies and case reports to be presented at the 2027 Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL, either as papers or posters. Papers and posters generally have two types of content.

    1.  Developing or new research
    2.  Case report that highlights a controversy or innovation in clinical care

Papers are are presented orally either on site at the Annual Meeting or virtually at a later date, and have a higher standard of acceptance.

Posters are presented by the author(s) to a passersby audience in an informal setting typically during Exhibit Hall hours at the Annual Meeting.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the Research Committee and will be judged on the basis of overall quality, completion of required information, relevance to developmental, behavioral, and functional vision, subject matter, innovation, and attention to key questions in the field. All contributors will be notified of the Research Committee’s action starting November 16, 2026.

SUBMISSIONS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES OR ARE INCOMPLETE, WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
