  • Thank you for volunteering for Downtown After 5! We couldn't host events like this without the incredible support of our volunteers.

    As a thank-you for your time, volunteers will receive:

    šŸ‘• A T-shirt and 2 drink vouchers for setup and event shifts

    šŸ• A T-shirt and a Mellow Mushroom gift certificate for Breakdown shift

    Volunteer Roles

    • Setup: Help prepare the event site by setting up tents, tables, barricades, signage, and other event equipment before guests arrive.
    • Beer Tents: Take orders and credit card payments, serve and/or pourĀ beer, and help keep the beverage area organized.
    • Wristbands: Check IDs, take credit card payments, and apply wristbands.
    • Barricades: Welcome vendors and authorized vehicles, and help ensure the event site remains safe by limiting vehicle access.
    • Breakdown: Assist with cleaning up the event by packing supplies, taking down equipment, and leaving the park in great shape after the event.Ā 

    Check-in

    Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled shift and check in at the orange Asheville Downtown Association tent located at the pavillion on Spruce and College Street.
