All Booked Out 2026 EOI

Coven Press is excited to be planning ABOF once again – the second year of our exciting annual indie author festival!

All Booked Out is a venture of Coven Press designed to shift focus annually depending on the appetite of readers and writers alike. The inaugural iteration in 2025 explored the theme ‘Themes We Orbit’ and took place during the Ballarat Winter Festival, with over 200 attendees walking through the doors of the Interclub Drop In Centre. We hosted an author market for 20+ authors, four panels focused on craft and industry, and an exclusive, intimate event with Ballarat author Paula Gleeson.

All Booked Out 2026 will explore the theme of Kith and Kin, which has linguistic roots in family, friendship, homeland and knowledge. This theme manifests in the hosting of an author market, providing authors and readers the opportunity to connect, collaborate and sell/buy novels and wares. All Booked Out – Kith and Kin will utilise a larger venue, full-day trading time for maximum and concentrated attendance and increased variety in stallholders (with a focus on inviting bookish small businesses alongside more debut Ballarat authors).

We're seeking initial interest in attending as an author or vendor for All Booked Out in Ballarat. While we're in the throes of planning and organising, we want to gauge if some of our favourite authors can join us on the weekend. Please find details below.

WHAT IS THE COST AND HOW MANY SPOTS ARE AVAILABLE?

The venue has capacity for 45 author spaces (2m x 2m) and 2-4 additional spaces for larger setups/groups (think writing groups, store space or publishing groups). The author spaces can be shared with another author if desired but invoicing will be handled as a single unit and it will fall to author's responsibility to arrange payment with their own partner. Both authors will need to complete this EOI to be considered for a shared space.

Author space: $75

Larger spaces: cost to be determined based on total space required for setup. Please provide additional details in relevant fields below and Coven Press will be in touch to discuss pricing options.

To support this, no authors, vendors or works found to be using AI created work or promotions will be accepted for All Booked Out 2026. Coven Press will maintain best efforts to validate all attending authors and works while avoiding harmful unfounded accusations. This will include: assessment of author social media platforms and online presence, review of readily available book and promotional collateral and potential for further discussion between Coven Press and the author. Should it be found after acceptance that an author approved for a space has used AI in their works or promotions, their spot will be revoked with no return of table fee.

WHAT'S PROVIDED?

The venue will kindly be offering their chairs and limited tables for use over the weekend. Power will be available to each allocated space.

Authors and vendors will need to bring along tables, table decorations, table covers, payment processing/point of sale equipment, books, merch, banners, etc! Authors and vendors will need to bring power boards/cords if more than one charging space is required.

A space will be available for authors and vendors to store extra stock and personal belongings (as well as for breaks and quiet moments).

Coven Press is committed to being thorough and transparent in the lead up to All Booked Out and will be providing authors, vendors and attendees with as much information about the fest as possible. If you have certain requirements or suggestions, there is space at the end of this form to detail those.
