Are you fascinated by space? Want to learn how to turn your curiosity into powerful stories that inspire others? The Space on Earth program invites students ages 14–25 to join a unique opportunity to explore space science, astrophysics, and planetary science while producing your own biweekly podcast and contributing to a new student-led radio show on KNCE 93.5FM in Taos.
Led by NASA Solar System Ambassador and podcaster Arwen Hubbard, participants meet weekly via Zoom to research, write, narrate, and publish episodes that explore the universe and our place in it. With guidance from Arwen and STEMarts student leaders, you'll gain valuable science communication skills while deepening your understanding of the cosmos.
What you'll gain:
Weekly Zoom meetings with space science experts and peers
Hands-on experience in podcast and radio production
Foundational knowledge in astrophysics, planetary science, and space literacy
Mentorship in science research and communication
A digital certificate upon completion
Opportunities to showcase your work to public audiences
A pathway to paid opportunities through the STEMarts Ambassador Program
The program is free and meets Fridays via Zoom, continuing throughout the year. Whether you're a future scientist, communicator, or just curious about the universe—Space on Earth is your launchpad.
