  • About the Mentorship Program:

    The ULI Columbus Mentorship Program connects young professionals (under 35) with experienced real estate leaders to foster professional growth, knowledge sharing, and lasting relationships. Mentors offer guidance and insight, while deepening their connection to the next generation of industry leaders and the ULI community.

    Each mentor group includes one mentor and 3–6 mentees with shared interests or sector experience. Mentor groups are expected to meet four times over a ten-month period, starting October 1st and ending July 31st. Meetings may include career discussions, project tours, case studies, guest speakers, or informal social gatherings, based on the group’s interests.

    Participation is open to ULI Columbus members under the age of 35.

    FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2025 BY 5:00 PM. Applications will not be accepted after this time. 

    Requirements for Participation:
    1. The Mentorship Program is only available for ULI Columbus members under the age of 35.
    2. This is a ULI members-only opportunity. Prospective members must join ULI to apply to the Mentorship program. (If not a member, join here)

  • Are you interested in being a Mentor Group Leader? Responsibilities would including: serving as point person for communication with mentor, organizing mentor meetings (time and location), and providing feedback or questions to ULI Columbus.
  • ULI Columbus Young Leaders Group Mentor Program - Memorandum of Understanding
    As a participant in the YLG Mentorship Program, you will benefit from personal interactions with an experienced real estate professional as well as a small group of your colleagues. You will be given an opportunity to create and foster relationships that will broaden your knowledge and help you understand the variety of fields within the real estate industry. Please review the expectations below to assess whether you are prepared to be a mentee.


    As a mentee, I will:
    - Help shape the nature of the relationship (know what kind of mentoring I want).
    - Be prepared to co-facilitate at least one mentor group meeting.
    - Be open in communicating with my mentor.
    - Respect that confidentiality is absolute, in all ways and forever. A breach in confidentiality will be treated as a resignation from the Mentor Program.
    - Come prepared to discuss issues at each meeting.
    - Take responsibility for helping set the agenda for at least 1 meeting.
    - Promptly return phone calls and emails from Mentors and ULI Young Leaders Group.
    - Be punctual and attend all meetings (or notify my mentor of expected absences).
    - Be respectful of my mentor’s time.
    - Be mindful that ULI's intent is career advancement for all Young Leaders but I will not solicit a job or business directly from my mentor during the program.


    Mentee Agreement: I am aware of the expectations of ULI Columbus YLG Mentorship Program. By signing below, I agree to the above responsibilities or will risk resignation from the program.
