    as well as Garden Club activities throughout the year.

    1. Crocus Orange Monarch. Like the colors of a Monarch butterfly, Orange Monarch has six-petaled, vibrant golden-orange flowers with dramatic garnet-merlot striations on the petals’ reverse, golden anthers and grass-like foliage with narrow, median silvery stripes. Its graceful 4" tall flowers open and close on sunny days. It has a rather smooth (annulate) tunic. Bulb size: 5 cm/up. Full to partial sunlight. Blooms in late March/early April. Horticultural Zone (HZ): 4-8. Height: 4".

    2. Tulipa turkestanica. This naturalizing tetraploid yields multiple star-shaped, ivory flowers with orange-yellow bases. Tulip Class: Species. Bulb size: 5/6 cm. Blooms in March/April. HZ: 4-8. Height: 8".

    3. Tulip Flaming Sunrise. A spectacular new variety out of Flaming Purissima, it is tawny yellow with diffuse red to rose-pink striations at its petal edges. Tulip Class: Emperor. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. Blooms in mid-April. HZ: 3-8. Height: 16" to 18".

    4. The Delightful Tulip Mixture. Our bright new blend is equal parts of Giant Darwin Hybrid Tulips Apricot Delight, Candy Apple Delight, Cherry Delight and Rosy Delight for a shades-of-red and -pink, eye-popping extravaganza.     5. Narcissus Sun Disc . Petite perfection. This fragrant heirloom, later-blooming Alec Gray award-winner has a 2" buttercup-yellow perianth that matures to ivory with a disk-shaped, deep buttercup-yellow cup and slender foliage. As all Jonquillas, it performs well in warmer areas. Bulb size: 10/12 cm. Late blooming and fragrant. HZ: 5-9. Height: 6" to 8".

    6. Narcissus Pink Wonder. . This magnificent Gerritsen Collar-Type opens with two whorls of three ivory petals overlaid with gently frilled, split corona petals that subtly blend from apricot-pink to golden-apricot with a striking chartreuse-yellow center. The interior split corona matures to white with a pale buff-pink edge. Plant this 3 1/2" beauty in filtered sunlight for the best "pink" coloration. Bulb size: 14/16 cm. Blooms in April. HZ: 4-8. Height: 16" to 18".

    7. Narcissus Ice King. . This double form of Ice Follies is a ruffled beauty with an ivory-white perianth and a fully double, sulphur-yellow cup adorned with white highlights. It is not uncommon for it to appear in different forms over the years: from the fully double to semi-double and even to the original Ice Follies form. Bulb size: 14/16 cm. Blooms in April/May. HZ: 3-8. Height: 14" to 16".

    8. The Spanish Bluebells Mixture. Also known as Wood Hyacinths, these invaluable woodland naturalizers have strappy, linear foliage and strong, 12" to 15", rigid, upright stems with 15 to 20 pendant, bell-shaped flowers. They are deer- and rodent-resistant. Bulb size: 8 cm/up. Full to partial sunlight. Blooms in May. HZ: 3-8. Height: 12” to 15".

    9. Fritillaria meleagris, The Guinea Hen Flower. It has pendant, bell-shaped, checkered and veined flowers that are either maroon or ivory-white with grass-like foliage intermittently spaced on its slender stems. This deer- and rodent-resistant naturalizer prefers rich, well-draining neutral pH soil and a bit of light shade or dappled sunlight. Mature plantings can grow taller than its usual 8” height, usually 10" to 12". You’ll need about nine bulbs per square foot. Bulb size: 6 cm/up. Full to partial sunlight. Blooms in April/May. HZ: 3-8. Height: 10" to 12".

    10. Dutch Iris Lion King. Lion King has dramatic purplish-brown standards and flamboyant brown-striped, golden-yellow falls. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds; deer resistant. Bulb size: 7 cm/up. Blooms in May/June. HZ: 5-8. Height: 18" to 22".

    11. Allium The Tumbleweed Onion. This popular heirloom has incredibly huge, airy, 12"-wide umbels of up to 100 mallow-purple florets extended on outright creamy-mauve stems atop a straight, thick and sturdy stalk. When the bud first emerges from its papery sheath, A. schubertii looks like an upright, thick green paint brush. As the floret stems grow and lengthen, it begins to look like spidery fireworks. Bulb size: 14 cm/up. Blooms in May/June. HZ: 5-8. Height: 16”.

    13. Allium nigrum. This multi-flowering heirloom has compact, 3"- to 4"-wide spheres with flat bottoms comprised of densely compacted white florets with green eyes. When it opens, before its full shape is developed, it looks like a glistening white muffin top studded with peridot gems. It is rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant, yet adored by bees, butterflies and helpful pollinators. Bulb size: 12 cm/up. June/July. HZ: 4-7. Height: 18" to 24".
