Gardening Together with Dementia
The Valley Area Agency on Aging and the Edible Flint Educational Farm welcomes individuals living with dementia and their caregivers to grow and harvest vegetables together in a supportive, outdoor environment. Participants will take part in seasonal gardening activities such as watering, weeding, and harvesting fresh produce. Gardening provides meaningful time together while supporting overall mental and physical well-being. If you have questions, call Abbie at 810-239-7671 ext. 213 *This workshop will take place outdoors at the Edible Flint Educational Farm at 1628 Beach St. Flint, MI. Please take into consideration the ground can be uneven in places (woodchops and grass) please dress accordingly with closed toed shoes. We will provide everything else! Registration is preferred. These sessions are free.
