  • Tuition Payments

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and stays the same amount every month, even though scheduled breaks mean some months include more lessons than others. If your account falls past due, we may need to pause lessons until it's resolved. If paying on the 1st will be difficult for any reason, let us know ahead of time so we can work out other arrangements together. We ask all parents to keep a credit or debit card on file for autopay, or to put down a deposit equal to half a month's tuition. To keep a consistent tutoring spot, we ask that payments stay on schedule. Late or missed payments may result in loss of your tutoring spot.
  • Lesson Packages

  • Do you have more than one student in tutoring?*
  • Tuition Model

💵 Tuition Model: Ladder Learning Services operates on a tuition-based payment model. Tuition is charged monthly, and is the same each month regardless of the number of days in that month. We plan for a total of 45 weeks of instruction from Sept 8, 2026 to Aug 31, 2027. Your yearly tuition rate is split into 12 equal payments due the 1st of each month.

🎄 Holidays and Breaks: Some major holidays will be taken off along with a winter break. These days off are built into the price so no refunds are issued for sessions that would occur during those breaks. Your tutor will get 1 week of vacation where lessons will not be made up, and each student will also get 1 week of vacation, which can be used at your spring break, or scheduled at another time during the year if you choose.

✉️ Ending Services: You are free to end services at any time. We require at least 14 days notice prior to the start of the next billing cycle. This notice should be sent in writing, by email, to info@atlantareads.org or by filling out the Schedule Change form at atlantareads.org/calendar. No refunds will be issued for early cancellation.

  • Please select your tuition rate/plan (rates valid through August 31, 2027). All sessions are 50 minutes in length unless otherwise noted.*

  • Ladder Learning Policies

Please read through our policies below.
  • Tutor Placement

We match you with a tutor based on your student's needs and your schedule. If you need a schedule change mid-year, a tutor switch may be necessary to accommodate it. All of our tutors are highly qualified specialists, and if you ever have a concern about your assigned tutor, please reach out to the office at info@atlantareads.org or text/call 470-344-5574.

  • Payment and Scheduling Policies

💵Tuition: Your lesson schedule is set with standing appointments reserved just for your student, so that time can't be used for other students. If you need to reschedule a lesson, we ask for advance notice, and availability depends on your tutor's schedule. Your tutor will send you their specific make-up policy.

Ladder Learning charges tuition monthly, at the same rate regardless of how many days fall in that month. We plan for 45 weeks of instruction total, running from September through August of the following year. Your yearly tuition is split into 12 equal payments due on the 1st of each month.

Some major holidays and a winter break are built into the schedule, and their cost is already factored into your tuition rate, so no refunds are issued for sessions during those breaks. Your tutor gets 1 week of vacation with no makeup lessons scheduled. Each student also gets 1 week of vacation, which can be used during spring break or scheduled at another point in the year. You can view all holiday breaks anytime at atlantareads.org/calendar.

💳 Payment: Payment is due on the 1st of every month, and we require either a deposit or autopay set up with a valid credit/debit card. We do not discount tuition for student vacations or other absences, though you are welcome to use your built-in vacation week or reschedule sessions if your tutor's availability allows. Unpaid tuition may lead to suspended sessions or dismissal from tutoring. If you will need an alternate payment date, please let us know ahead of time.

📅 Schedule Changes: You can update your schedule anytime during the year by filling out the Schedule Change Request Form on our website (at the calendar page linked above). Without that form on file, you may be charged for sessions you don't use, so please make sure to submit it.

⏰ Make-Up Sessions: When a tutor or student is unavailable for a scheduled session, we'll either count it as missed (no refund) or issue a make-up credit for later use.

The following policies apply to all make-up credits:

Make-up credits expire on the final day of the last month for which tuition was paid. If tuition for a given month is unpaid, credits cannot be used to schedule lessons during that month (with the exception of the September make-ups week 9/1 to 9/7).

Scheduling a make-up session depends on your tutor's availability and their individual make-up policy, so please check with your tutor directly. Unused make-up credits are not refundable.

✉️ Ending Services: You are not locked into any long-term contract and are free to end services at any time. We ask for at least 14 days' notice before the start of the next billing cycle so we can stop tuition charges in time. Please send this notice in writing, either by email to info@atlantareads.org or through the Schedule Change Request Form above. No refunds are issued for early cancellation.

🏫 School-Provided Services: If your school is covering the cost of services under a separate arrangement, the terms above may not apply, since we bill the school directly and set terms individually with each school.

  • Included Services

⏱️ Lesson Time: Lessons include 50 minutes of instructional time (unless otherwise agreed) plus 10 minutes of preparation time for the tutor. You are welcome to conference with your tutor at any point during the 50-minute session. If you need more time to go over anything, please contact the office or your tutor to schedule a separate meeting outside of lesson time. Please keep in mind that tutors work on a tight schedule and cannot stay past the appointed ending time.

📝 Progress Notes: Tutors typically send weekly lesson notes for students scheduled at least twice a week. Students scheduled once a week receive monthly or quarterly notes instead. We also keep periodic assessment data for progress monitoring, and we are happy to share this additional data with you upon request.

🧑‍🏫 IEP/504 Meeting Support: Dite Bray is available to attend IEP or 504 meetings to answer questions about our programs, at an hourly rate of $100. This cost is added to your following month's invoice. For additional advocacy support, please contact the office.

🔁 Re-Testing: We offer re-testing of a student's initial assessment for an additional fee, available once at least 6 months have passed since the original testing date. Please contact the office to schedule this.

📦 Supplies: Students who need supplies beyond what is typically provided, such as math blocks or a spellchecker, may need to purchase these at an additional charge. We always look for affordable options, and we will let you know in advance before billing anything beyond your standard tuition rate.

  • Technology Policies

For online multisensory tutoring to work effectively, we require the following:

📶 Internet Connection: A stable connection with download and upload speeds of 2Mbps or higher. You can check your speed at speedtest.net.

💻 Device and Browser: A computer or tablet with a browser, set up as follows: PC or Mac users should use Chrome, Edge, or Brave; Chromebook users should use Chrome; and iPad users should use Safari. Please note that some tutors may have different or additional tech requirements.

🎧 Headset: A headset with a built-in microphone. This helps the student focus on lessons when there is background noise, and the tutor hear the student clearly.

🪑 Learning Environment: A quiet, distraction-free space, with your student seated at a desk or table.

🙋 Adult Support: An adult nearby who can help troubleshoot any technical issues that come up during the lesson.

⚠️ Technology Responsibility: Ladder Learning can make up lesson time only when technology or connection issues happen on our end. Keeping your technology and internet connection working on your end is your responsibility, and your tutor will not be able to make up missed lesson time due to internet outages or hardware problems.

  • Recording Policy

🎥 Why We Record: To ensure student safety and continue improving the service we offer, tutoring sessions may be recorded.

🔒 Storage and Access: Recordings are stored for 30 days on servers and then deleted. Only tutors and supervisors at Ladder Learning Services and techs at Koala Go have access to view them.

🚫 Opting Out: You may opt your student out of recording by emailing us at info@atlantareads.org. Please note that opting out may limit which tutors are available to work with your student.
