    There's no experience quite like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to spend a morning on a private backside tour at Churchill Downs Racetrack.     Start your day with the thrilling sound of hooves pounding the dirt as horses and jockeys train right in front of you! You’ll see horses gallop past at speeds up to 40 miles per hour! Your guide will share the ins and outs of training world-class Thoroughbreds while you also visit the Churchill Downs Grandstands. Be sure to have your camera ready – seeing these incredible athletes working out beneath the historic Twin Spires™ is a memory you’ll want to hold onto forever. The Thoroughbred Workout Tour is a great tour for horse lovers, but please note that guests will not be able to touch the horses.     Arrive early for one of the first few Guided Track Visits of the day! Catch a glimpse of horses training while visiting the world-famous Churchill Downs Racetrack! Walk through the Grandstands where thousands of people roar with excitement on Derby day.     Did you know there’s a vibrant community of horses and horsemen who live and work on the Backside of Churchill Downs? (Yes, there’s even a church onsite!) In this guided tour, you'll walk among the signature green-roofed barns that are home to 1,400 horses during the racing and training season. In addition to seeing horses, you’ll also learn a bit about careers in the industry. Hear from special guests about the business side of caring for and training these world-class Thoroughbreds. 90-minute tour | Tuesday - Friday at 1:15 PM | 3.5+ hours recommended for Backstretch Careers Afternoon Tour & Museum General Admission | Group Rate: $33/Adult | $23/Child K-8th Grade

    See for yourself the world-famous Churchill Downs Racetrack! Walk through the Grandstands where thousands of people roar with excitement on Derby day. Your Tour Guide will lead you to the rail of the legendary dirt track where every Derby winner has raced, from Aristides to Secretariat, and many more. All General Admission visits to the Kentucky Derby Museum include: Access to two floors of family-friendly interactive exhibits, a viewing of “The Greatest Race”, a 25-minute Guided Track Visit of Churchill Downs (tours depart 10am-4:30pm), access to the Museum Store, and the Derby Café & Bourbon Bar. 2-hours recommended for Museum General Admission | Group Rate: $18/Adult | $11/Child K-8th Grade

    Four-leaf clovers, rabbit's feet, heads-up pennies — all lucky charms for many people. Another common lucky charm? The horseshoe. Often seen hanging over the entrance of a home, they are thought to bring good luck and protection. Drop by the Oaks Terrace during your museum visit and each guest will have the opportunity to decorate and take home their very own, FFA themed, lucky horseshoe souvenir. Activity takes approximately 30 minutes. Activity station open daily 10 AM - 4 PM | $10pp if paid in advance | $12pp if purchased onsite
