Independent Production Fund in association with Blue Prairie Productions Application Form - Prairies

The IPF Pre-Application Training Program for Prairie Provinces Producers is an intensive project development program for up to ten independent: Saskatchewan and Manitoba based producers to improve their applications and success rates when applying for development funding for a Short Form Series.

The program will run as a precursor to the IPF Short Form Series Development program. In association with the Independent Production Fund (IPF), ScreenSask with funding from Creative Saskatchewan, and On Screen Manitoba.

Application deadline is August 19, 2026 by 11:59pmPT.

August 6 – Call for submissions.
August 19 – Deadline for submissions.
September 3 – Participants announced.
September 10 – Program Overview Session (workshops kickoff).
September 10–December 15 – Online workshop sessions
September 10–December 15 – Story Editors and/or Development Execs identified and matched.
January – February 2027 – Program participants finalize their applications and work with Mentors.
March 1, 2027 – Deadline to submit to the IPF Short Form Series Development Program.
