    Founded in 2026, Voice Mail is a community audio archive and quarterly print publication collecting and sharing stories of death, grief, and remembrance in the digital age. We’re looking for original art and writing exploring any version of the “grave site”: the family plot in an old cemetery; a dead friend’s Facebook page; or old journals filled with former selves. Send us your original essays, short stories, and images—we love work that experiments with genre and form. Selected work will be included in our first zine, forthcoming in early 2027.

  • SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

    All work must be submitted through this form. No email submissions will be accepted. Images must be a minimum of 1600 x 1200px and 300dpi. We accept essays, short stories, and images, and everything in between. We love work that experiments with genre and form. *Please note that we do not accept work generated with AI programs*

  • Upon submitting your entry you grant Voice Mail permission to publish your content in any way we see fit. You will be given credit as the author/creator and be notified of acceptance prior to publication.
