Theme: Growing
The 2027 Summerland Giant Pumpkin & Watermelon Festival Art Exhibition invites artists and makers to submit works responding to the theme “Growing”.

Entries will be accepted across three broad categories: Art, Craft & Photography

Judges will consider the overall excellence of each artwork within its chosen medium, with special consideration given to works that creatively and effectively interpret the theme “Growing”.
Important Dates
Entries close: Friday 11 December 2026, 5:00 pm
Artwork Drop-Off:
Monday 4 January 2027, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Tuesday 5 January 2027, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
All artworks must be delivered during the above times to: Roxy Gallery
Upstairs, 131 Summerland Way, Kyogle
Artwork Requirements
All artworks must be labelled on the reverse side with: Artist name, Artwork Title, Medium, Contact phone number, Age Group (under 12, 12-18 years, Over 18), Entry category (2D or 3D), and either Price or NFS
A maximum of two entries per person is permitted.
Works previously exhibited will not be accepted.
Art & Photography Requirements
Works must not exceed 1.5 metres x 1.5 metres.
Artwork must be ready for hanging with two D-hooks securely attached to the back.
D-hooks should be positioned approximately 6–10 cm from the top of the frame.
Please do not use string or wire for hanging. (Gallery hanging wire will be supplied if required.)
Craft Requirements
Works must not exceed 1 cubic metre.
Works must be freestanding or include a suitable method of stabilisation.
Entry Fee
Entry fee is $10 per piece.
Sales of Artwork
Artwork may be offered for sale during the exhibition. Roxy Gallery retains a 22% commission on the sale price of all artworks sold. Please factor this commission into your listed artwork price.
The sale price and required bank details must be provided at the time of entry or art work drop off (for digital form entry) for artwork to be listed for sale.
Sold artworks will remain on display until the conclusion of the exhibition. The gallery will arrange collection details with purchasers.
Artist payments will be processed by the Kyogle Progress Association (Kyogle Pumpkin Festival organisers). Please allow a minimum of one month for payment processing following the exhibition.
Awards and Prizes
Award categories and prize amounts will be confirmed closer to the festival once sponsorship arrangements have been finalised.
